Re: Alignment probem exporting and importing

Contributions are welcome. They are best made as pull requests on GitHub. But you should wait for Steve to reply because I think he was planning a checkbox in all the export dialogues (not just export multiple) for exporting silence before the track starting point or not. I don't know if he started ...

Re: External drives keep disconnecting when exporting

Running 2.1.3 on Windows 10 (64-bit). I have a project saved on an external hard drive. When I try to export audio from Audacity to any destination -- the same external drive, another external drive, or the internal hard disk, exporting goes smoothly for a few seconds and then I hear the "devi...

Re: Remove blank space within track

I thought one of the serious shortcomings of Audacity 2.1.2 was the inability to translate "nothing" segments of the timeline to time. That is, when you exported the show, all the nothings would vanish and smash all the clips into each other. Export only removes the white space before the...

Re: Remove blank space within track

I have an Audacity file containing a single track with multiple clips, which are separated by blank space. (Note - they are not separated by silence within a clip. They are separate clips, and there is nothing in the audio track in between them.) I'm looking for a way to automatically remove that b...

Re: music trance how do i do that?

You can import some trance music into Audacity, and at your own risk, listen to it, or pin the playback head and become mesmerised as you look at the waves. Or are you talking about Brainwave entrainment ? Gale yes i would like to make my music into brainwave entrainment. is there plugin for that? ...

Thank you. I updated your Profile. So when you ask a question you only now need to to tell us your version of Audacity (all three numbers, see the pink panel at the top of the page).

Re: basic hotkeys question

In my search to hotkey the world I am wondering if anyone has figured out a clever way to: - hotkey a particular EQ effect inside the EQ menu - hotkey switching between Waveform and Waveform DB in the timeline? You can see what Audacity shortcuts are available if you open Keyboard Preferences. If t...

Re: audio fluctuation in a tape cassette

You could click in the name of the track, Split Stereo Track, then try Compressor or Limiter on the Left channel. But it would be better if we could hear a sample in case there is more wrong than just volume. See How to post an audio sample.
