It worked out and so i started with the interview. After i finished the interview, my MAC went off due to low battery (16% -.-) and af...

Re: Unable to reduce input level from USB TT
Hi, I am new to this, but using a MacBook with Yosemite, and a Audio Technica LP120USB turntable. However the slider control on Audacity for recording level output is set to maximum. This cannot be changed. I have accessed the Soundcard control in Yosemite, but that just says that the input device ...

Re: Cannot open any file in Audacity
I am not sure what is up. Audacity worked with the file for five hours and was still processing when I closed it down. I also note that the file manager window is not behaving properly. It takes way too long to scroll or open up subdirectories. Is this FFmpeg trying to import a video file? Have you...

Re: Import Issue
Have you tried forcing FFmpeg to import the file? File > Import > Audio... or File > Open... , choose "FFmpeg-compatible files" in the "Files of type:" dropdown, then select the "MP3" file.

Re: Error while opening sound device
Wasapi is the only one that gives me the option to record 4 audio tracks. MME and DirectSound only only lets me record 2 audio tracks. I expect this will apply for some other multi-channel devices. It would be good to know which ones. @marshall0788 perhaps you could add a note about your iO4 and us...

Re: mda stereo, pitchproof and kerovee problems in 2.1
I tried kerovee on the latest nightly build and an error report screen appeared, I wasn't on the internet so pressed cancel and audacity shut down. Did you add the effect using Effect > More... ? That will probably have caused that one-time crash. We still have to make that safe. I retried kerovee ...

Re: Error while opening sound device
Yea Wasapi is the only one that gives me the option to record 4 audio tracks. MME and DirectSound only only lets me record 2 audio tracks. Actually you are quite lucky. :) WASAPI does allow a few devices to record multiple channels on Windows but for many devices the only way to record multiple cha...

Re: Will not record from Yamaha mixer
Well guess what, the new Yamaha MG10XU reacts the same way with audacity. Avery weak blue line when recording. You can hear it fine on play back but during recording everything works except the blue line running across the screen. If I put the gain at 100% the line moves a tiny bit. Any other ideas...

Please read the pink panel at the top of the page and give us the information requested there. Hello, Please read below: "You need to make sure Audacity is truly creating 1 channel WAV. Even though you selected Mono, it may be writing 2-channels, with 1 channel silenced." Where are you rea...
