Re: ffmpeg frame error with 2.1 ppa builds that use libav11
The 2.1 ppa builds from here fail on ffmpeg exports with a "FFmpeg:Error - Failed to write audio frame to file" This occurs on both 14.10 & 15.04 which use libav11. The 14.04 which uses libav9 is ok. https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/+archive/ubuntu/audacity Thanks for the inform...

Re: Export audio to .mp3 and audio won't play
Using Audacity 2.1 on my Mac. Edited a podcast and it plays fully in Audacity as .aup. When I export it as .mp3, only certain portions of the project play. I used recorded audio for the majority of the podcast from a handy recorder. When inserting voiceovers during editing, I recorded directly into...

Re: can't pause recording
Audacity 1.3.13 on Mac OSX 10.6.8: Voice activated recording working fine with mike and Sounc Activation Level at 37, but clicking on Pause button does not Pause the recording. Why? I just want to be able to pause, start recording again, pause again, etc. As it is, I have to dictate the entire text...

Re: Use exported MP3 to go back and recreate Aud file?
Unfortunately, Audacity doesn't ask if you are sure you want to save with the same name, and now, in the Audacity folder, Chapter 20 and Chapter 21 are the same Please see the pink panel at the top of the page. If you are using the Audacity 2.1.0 version from http://web.audacityteam.org/download/wi...

Re: 320kbps is 96kbps?
Thanx for all the replays.I write all this because on some forum I uploaded music to they say that my music quality is to low.they ask min128kbps. I'm gonna record the music now with a much higher volume so I can be sure that the quality of the converted mp3 is more than good enough. If anyone know...

Re: Crashing on Yosemite
Thanks, we'll see if we can reproduce the crash after monitoring in a new window. I've also had crashes when saving a recording as well as when trying to append to an already long, 2 hrs+, recording which may be the same mechanism as the crash occurrence today. Let me know if you want those crash re...

Re: Static/distortion on recording in Yosemite
OK, just did the test with Audacity 2.1.0 and buffer at 10. About an hour and a half recording. No problems. I really can't afford this to keep happening. Three people are committing over an hour of their time and the whole thing getting lost or corrupted with the popping sound. Any idea which is s...

Re: Static/distortion on recording in Yosemite
With the recent crash, I was saving the project. I had not opened "About Audacity." Do you recall if you used a keyboard shortcut to open the file save dialogue, or the mouse/trackpad? You're not the only one to report a crash on Yosemite in the save or export window, but a developer has ...

Re: Recovering a Project from Mac to PC
I started recording without saving. At the end of the session when I went to save is when it crashed. Was this Mac Yosemite? Audacity 2.0.5 does not support Yosemite. I copied the recovery file which I have currently as... project###>e00>d00 (the last file has d00-d09, each file containing a couple...
