UCA 202 has no gain control knob, so if Mac does not allow its input level to be adjusted as I believe, you'll have the same problem with that.

Re: Apply Chain used to run but not now
This issue had me confused. I had opened a bunch of .wav files to batch convert to .mp3, and I got this error. Which error? It is correct that if you apply the Chain to files you will be asked to save and close the project. If you see an error that you should select a track first, I think that is a...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 painfully slow
Tested Audacity 2.1.0 on Windows XP (32-bit, SP3), it wasn't slow but... some kind of unstable (got some crashes during making selections). Off topic to this, but please start a new topic if you can provide exact steps to reproduce the crashes. Do the crashes only occur in one particular saved proj...

Re: Final Burn and Importation to iTunes
I labeled all of my songs. I used the Export>Multiple to save them to a folder. First question, the files were saved alphabetically by their label name. How can I get them to save in track # sequence? Where are you looking? The files are saved by label name. They also have Track number metadata unl...

Re: recording.
It could also be that you are changing the playback device from built-in speakers to headphones or similar name when you plug in the headphones. If the speakers and headphones are seen by Windows as two separate playback devices that could well be the explanation. If that was the case the recording ...

Re: Audacity keeps recording int. sound when using earbud-mi
If you really want to listen to what your record with the mic, you need an audio interface. If you want to hear the mic without latency, yes. If you don't mind the latency you can use Audacity's Software Playthrough or Rogue Amoeba's Line In software. Did you notice that Sound Preferences did not h...

Re: Request Youtube links - vocal tracks only
We do not recommend looking at YouTube tutorials about Audacity. Many are for obsolete versions of Audacity but do not say what version of Audacity they are using, and are never updated for current Audacity. A significant proportion of YouTube tutorials are wrong or misleading even if they are curre...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 painfully slow
After the first save of a file, with many deletions in the file, performance drops to barely tolerable. Are you saving to a slow drive (perhaps an external hard drive)? And yet you're saying Saving and continuing in the same session is OK So what is the difference after reopening the project? Does ...
