Re: Can't run Audacity, can't find the lock file

It's a file called audacity-lock-<your username> in the temporary directory you specified. You can look at ~/.audacity-data/audacity.cfg to see where Audacity thinks its temp dir is.

Re: insert a recording throughout an album

I want to record voice for about 30 sec. Then I want to insert it in each song of an album for the whole duration of each song. I hope I am clear now. Not totally clear. ;) If the album is a CD, you must rip the tracks to WAV first. If you want to make your 30 seconds speech fit with a song lasting...

Re: Slow startup since 2.0.3

anyway, why comodo (and norton) check audacity .exe only after reboot? If you follow the instructions I posted for you, then Comodo should not real-time scan what Audacity is doing. This is a good step to take because virus scanning when Audacity records can cause dropouts in the recording . Does t...

Re: When converting files, how do you keep the 'contributing

When converting files, how do you keep the 'contributing artist'? I'm running Audacity 2.0.6 on a Win 7, 64bit PC, from the .exe. I import my flac files, then go to 'export multiple', choose WAV format, location, the 'Using Label/Track Name radio button is selected, then 'Export'. It converts all t...
