Re: Menu flashing, will not save modified project
On Yosemite, anyway, the screen flash setting is for when an alert sounds, not when audio is muted.cyrano wrote:There are also a couple of sound settings in the Accessability cp in System prefs. And I've just noticed that it isn't the menu bar anymore these days, but the entire screen that flashes.

Re: Menu flashing, will not save modified project
A modified file will not appear as unsaved, even when newly created, or after saving once and being immediately modified. I can save a project once, but not more than once without doing a 'Save project as' and renaming it - the normal Save option is disabled. If I attempt to 'Save as' without renam...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 Won't Find FFmpeg libraries
I'm having the same problem. I've been working on this for 4+ hours. It's not finding the files I downloaded. I don't have a Library folder to put them in. I've had them on the desktop, in the Audacity folder, in the Plug In's folder, and it never seems to recognize it or remember where it is. Auda...

Re: Slow startup since 2.0.3
does lame require 40 seconds for loading? I doubt it - look at Help > Show Log... to see how long the search or load for LAME and FFmpeg takes. If you use Audacity every day you could add it to your Startup group so that the delay on first launch takes place when Windows loads and when you'll be wa...

Re: Bug: default sample format ignored for imports
The Ogg Vorbis decoder only supports 8 or 16 bit ( http://linux.die.net/man/1/oggdec ). Lots of formats are 16-bit, but they still obey the default sample format. Yes, but OGG was the only natively supported format whose decoding was limited to maximum 16-bit. That was why it was how it was. Anyway...

Re: Old Audacity versions, correct release dates? / info...
I'm just trying to figure out which version I used to edit a few things quite a few years ago.... If you saved Audacity projects, then you can open the AUP file to see the last version of Audacity that edited that project. See "audacityversion" in the "project" row in the AUP fi...

Re: Final Burn and Importation to iTunes
First, I'm burning to a CD because that's how I want to permanently store them. I agree with wc - there is no such thing as a "permanent" CD - it is a shortlived degradable format, unike vinyl which would last a lifetime if looked after. For permanence, digital audio must be stored on a h...

Do you own that site? It is nothing to do with us. 1.x versions of Audacity receive no support on this Forum, please see the pink panel at the top of this page. If you require obsolete versions of Audacity for some specific reason, I recommend obtaining them from our recommended source http://www.ol...

I have a project titled Jondrah, When I try to open with I get the error message Coudn't find the project Data folder, despite that the very dame data folder it says it can't find, is being brought up in the search results for Jondrah.
