Re: lav icons in system tray
Audacity is not removing the lav icons or files and it's loading tons of them in the system tray. Win 7 64 bit. Please read the pink panel of the top of the page. I strongly suggest you use the latest Audacity 2.1.0 version supplied by us: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/windows . Audacity its...

Re: Audacity won't open on MacbookPro
If you have tried to retinize Audacity this can cause problems. Make sure you got Audacity 2.1.0 from this address: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/mac . Then, see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#launch . If you've not installed new plugins or connected n...

Re: Bug: default sample format ignored for imports
But if you have a 16-bit track, process it at 32-bit float then return it to the track as 32-bit float rather than 16-bit, what does the Track Info say? That is a spurious argument because the Track Info does not show the format of the audio in the track. The Track Info only shows the "default...

Re: Windows 8.1 recording with multiple user accounts
What actually happens in Audacity? Does it record silence, or does it stop recording? Is any error shown?husar wrote:Looks like when another user logs in, he takes exclusive control of the line-in input.

Re: Windows 8.1 recording with multiple user accounts
Audacity was installed for all users Then you must have a hacked Audacity because Audacity settings are always per user. You can get Audacity from us here: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/windows . I immediately searched for that audacity_temp folder and found it in Edit-->preferences-->direct...

Re: Export MP3 in float
I realize it doesn't make a big difference, but why not export MP3 in float instead of 16-bit? Just to touch bases, where are you getting the information that the Audacity exported MP3 has 16-bit values? https://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/browse/audacity-src/trunk/src/export/ExportMP3.cpp (Y...

Re: Bug: default sample format ignored for imports
Really, there ought to be a warning popup if somebody tries to modify (other than cut/paste) a 16-bit track. Because 100% of the time it's a mistake. This would catch file import glitches as a side effect. Developers do not like warning popups as a rule. Please explain more. Is this about the fact ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 Won't Find FFmpeg libraries
Where's the smiley for confused? If FFmpeg isn't found for you, please start a new topic. The current FFmpeg 2.2.2 installer (DMG with a PKG inside it) installs to /Library/Application Support/audacity/libs. Some previous FFmpeg installers installed to /usr/local/lib/audacity. Audacity still looks ...

(Audacity 2.10. .dmg on Mac OSX 10.8.5 - macbook pro) Please check that is not a typo for 2.1.0 - if necessary please go to http://web.audacityteam.org/download/mac to download from us. I want to add the same stereo track to 1000 different stereo tracks (I need to end up with 4 channels of sound fo...
