Re: need to get information about. white noise.

Is the noise in the gaps between the songs? If not, why not select the noise and CTRL + L to replace the noise with silence? Or deamplify the noise between the songs, then the songs will be unharmed.

Re: need help getting the audacity manual

I am attempting to become a new user of Audacity. I've recently taken up piano and would like to record some files to share with others. As usual, I am unable to get part of the program to work. As a comment on my skill level, I rarely am able to get any linux downloaded program for ubuntu to work,...

Re: Mixing multiple tracks for export multiple

I'm not clear why you need the spreadsheet unless it's for comments. Are the comments inserted into each exported file's metadata?

A labels text file of the form here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/im ... abels.html can contain the label positions and text content.

Re: audacity hates the lame_enc

I installed Audacity 2.0.2 that came with a cassette to computer converter. In attempting to run it and convert the tape file to mp3 we encountered an error saying this version of Audacity is not compatible with the version of the lame_enc.dll we had. Updated to lame 3.99.5. Same error. Updated to ...

Re: FFMpeg DLL not being recognized (not a n00b)

Unfortunately we can't see your computer to know your system. For example what other DLL's are in the LAME for Audacity folder besides LAME and FFmpeg? As I said, I can select FFmpeg in the installation folder for LAME, but if you had installed FFmpeg using the installer and not changed the path you...

Re: Undo tabs not highlighted

I am attempting to make a podcast on audacity and the tracks that I had were mono track then audacity shut down and then it recovered the tracks. What version of Mac OS X and Audacity? See the pink panel at the top of the page. I would make sure you have the latest Audacity 2.1.0 from http://web.au...

Re: Export Multiple Help please

Hi All - Let me first ask if it's possible to export multiple audio clips using region labels when you have multiple audio tracks/label tracks? If you want to mix the multiple audio tracks, yes. If you want each region for each track as a separate file, no Audacity cannot do that yet as one action....

Re: Start recording when in a different window.

Not yet. It's called a global shortcut that works when an application is running, even if you are in some other application.
