Re: exporting file question
You want to use File > Export Multiple... not File > Export Audio, otherwise the songs will be mixed into each other. I would leave the song tracks in mono. They will already play out of both speakers when mono. If you make them stereo they will still sound the same but take twice the space on your ...

Re: recording internet radio
NOT seeing any mention of loopback in box 2 That is expected if you are still using 2.0.6. When I wrote the steps you had not given your Audacity version. As the image shows, in 2.0.6 the third box is the recording device, so the third box has the (loopback) choice. have set as box 1 winows wsap1 b...

cant see device tool bar When we show you text in blue, click that link to find out all the information you need. To make sure you can see Device Toolbar, click on View > Toolbars > Reset Toolbars. Device Toolbar looks like this in 2.0.6: devicetoolbarstreamingaudio_wasapi_loopback.png Gale

Re: Swap a selection of audio between tracks
None of the above. I don't want to gate. My noise floor is excellent, and I always pass. No matter how quiet the recording, it is necessary to edit out audible breaths. Even Audible editors do it by cut and paste using clean room tone. Users of other programs can do it with a room tone track, but A...

Re: Static bursts in output from 2.1.0?
I know that may not be the answer you wanted, but Audacity supplied by us does not do that. And if it did, we could not fix it unless we knew how to reproduce it. With respect, I believe the technical term for this is "a bug". Audacity is doing this (though thankfully very infrequently). ...

Re: lav icons in system tray
Thanks robert2 but the lav icons must be used by one of the audacity tools as a check for them fkund they are a audio spliter. As previously explained, Audacity has *no* control over the icons. I suspect the reason the icon appears is because you are importing a file type into Audacity that is asso...

Re: audacity hates the lame_enc
Once you get the right lame encoder all you need to do for cassette tapes is get a patch cord with the same size head phone jacks on each end. And a good tape playing boom box with head phone capability plug the patch cord into the boom box and the other end into the line in plug on your computer s...
