Re: Speed Adjustment Problem
Koz, I did find the solution, and your suggestion is the closest to what I found. The Change Speed item under Effects is what I used to solve the problem (I set it to -7.0%), but there seems to be slight wrinkle. If I have the native file opened in Audacity, apply the Change Speed effect, it will p...

I'm really quite sad and disappointed I got absolutely no notification about your replies, guys. I thought they would be sent by default since this is a topic I Started Myself. What setting do I have to change in order to start getting email notifications every time someone replies to threads I cre...

Re: Audacity plays noise and crashes
I'm having the same problem. Audacity plays sound that sounds like TV static, and plays the file much faster than it should, playing a 3 minute file in 10 seconds, despite the time on the timeline being correct. I'm using Ubuntu 15.04 64 bit and audacity 2.0.6 You will (probably) have the same prob...

Re: LAME 3.99.5 is the latest version
Hi, I've just discovered that you guys are sharing this page to users to download LAME for Audacity: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame --> http://lame.buanzo.org/#lamewindl That's just the version 3.99.3. This is the official LAME page: http://lame.sourcef...

Re: Noise Reduction in Chain (not working as described)
Just to be clear and assure you I know how to use this effect, if I apply it manually to a file it does work. I can tell because of the "L" and "R" output meters are zilch. Anyone have luck with "Noise Reduction" in batch processing chains? Testing on Windows (I think ...

Re: "Audacity is already running"
Thanks to both of you! I greatly appreciate your help!! You've easily solved my dilemma. :) You're welcome. By the way, "Safe Mode" that SHIFT puts you into also does the verification of the startup disk, plus some other actions like deleting old cached Kernel and system files: https://su...

Re: Vamp plugins not found
10 "Rhythm" plugins and one "Energy" plugin from that v1.1 set are seen by Audacity 2.1.0 on Mac and Linux (32-bit). The V1.1 plugins for Windows appear to be corrupt, according to Sonic Visualiser . I raised an issue at https://github.com/bbcrd/bbc-vamp-plugins/issues/3 . So for...

Re: cannot connect microphone
$cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [PCH ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH HDA Intel PCH at 0x90810000 irq 108 ALSA is not recognising your AudioBox, so pulse probably won't and Audacity won't. This may be something specific to your machine and Linux Mint. I would ask here http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewforum.ph...

Re: Audacity keeps dynamically adjusting volume for mulitple
I'm not sure how Audacity handles 5.1 audio. Audacity can record multiple channels if you have hardware that presents those channels as coming from the same device. That is often not the case on Windows. All Audacity playback is mixed down to stereo or mono. I should've been clearer. I mean how you...

Re: Recovering unsaved track
Is there another alternative ? Please see my previous reply . Have you tried Windows previous versions? You can find software that claims to undelete files from SSD's, like http://www.easeus.com/data-recovery/other-recovery-software/SSD-drive-recovery.htm . However my understanding is that is disin...
