Re: Delay After Making Edits
we know Audacity can be slow when editing due to the way it parses a text file called the AUTOSAVE file that serves as a temporary AUP file in case Audacity crashes. The next 2.1.1 version of Audacity will have an improvement for this that might help. Meantime if you open Edit > Preferences... and ...

Re: Accidentally changed track display -- how do I get it ba
Also please see Important information for Windows XP users about the security risks of running XP now that Microsoft no longer support it. The current version of Audacity is 2.1.0. I recommend you upgrade at http://audacityteam.org/download/windows/ . Then even if you only have the zip version of Au...

Re: unable to record mic + speaker at same time
it doesn't appear to matter whether using MME/WASAPI/etc, it simply won't let me record both as separate tracks. Why not? Because Audacity only records one source at a time. All you can do is right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". Right-cli...

Re: How to extend the mp3 file
How do you determine the length of the exported MP3? Is it really truncated ??? The problem here is that a .mp3 file really is just a sequence of individual MP3 packets (frames). There is no such thing as a "global" header in a .mp3 file. So the only reliable way to get the exact duration...

Re: Audacity 2.0.5 not receiving signal from interface
Indeed, sample rates must match everywhere, Audacity project rate, Audio MIDI Setup *and* any hardware settings on the device.
If 2.0.5 still does not receive the signal, you could try the current 2.1.0 release from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac/.

Re: Can't import correctly 5.1 WAV and DSD (.dff) audio file
DSF/DFF are file types for the Direct Stream Digital SA_CD format. If you obtain a shared library of FFmpeg 2.3.x and point Audacity to it you may be able to import DSF. See http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=261832#p261832 . FFmpeg supports the standalone DTS format but it's known that n...
