Re: 2.1.3 install and "Program Files(x86)" folder (2.1.2 cla

Normally you would install the new Audacity version over the old. In that case the location of Audacity plugins is the same and you will see no duplicate plugins. On a 64-bit computer, 32-bit applications like Audacity should be installed in Program Files (x86). After uninstalling 2.1.2, exit 2.1.3,...

Re: Static in Second, Third Track Issue

What is the make and model number of the mixer and how does it connect to the computer?

Have you tried different headphones?

Re: [Settings for recording] "Audio to buffer" and WASAPI vs

Even if Audacity did not force recording in 32-bit float, Windows will do so, unless you use WASAPI Exclusive Mode. Is "Effects -> Amplify" works better with 32-bit float? I think it is the only effect I could use. Amplify ONLY works in 32-bit float, because all Audacity's internal proces...

Re: Help with editing

So are you requesting an Audacity feature to correct reverse polarity? I think someone (tried to) modify Clipfix to do this, some years ago. Gale I doubt the furnace caused the clicks. You have severe overshoot clipping where the samples reverse polarity. Instead of flat topping at the positive (top...

Re: FIXING IMA WAV ADPCM file

danish272 wrote:Thank you so much steve for the help. Do you know of any way I can add "IMA WAV ADPCM" library to Audocity, or Adobe CC.
Audacity already imports IMA ADPCM files with WAV extension.

For support with Adobe products, contact Adobe.

Re: Report a Bug ... v. 2.1.3

v2.1.3 fail/bug -the SC4 effect output meters are not lighting up! Is there a way to fix this? No. Something has gone wrong with that since 2.1.2. I think on Mac the meters are no longer even present on some LADSPA effects. It only affects LADSPA, not LV2, but I think the LV2 versions of the swh pl...

Re: [Settings for recording] "Audio to buffer" and WASAPI vs

Please see the information already provided. Recording in "bit perfection" is impossible in Audacity if you don't accept upconversion of bit depth. Only you can make this decision. I assume the source file is "perfect". If I record with the same bit depth and sample rate, it is ...

Re: BEST FORMAT FROM AUD TO PLAY IN BOOMBOX?

The difference is probably burning as an audio CD or music CD. Your computer wlll play a CD that has WAV files on it but your boombox or some other CD player that is separate from the computer will not. They want a music CD - those only appear to contain small .cda files if you look at the CD in you...

Re: Configure External Source

Does Device Toolbar see these two mics as two separate devices? I would guess not if they are both connnected to the same USB device. What do you want, to record two mono tracks? Try Tracks > Add New > Mono Track, Tracks > Add New > Mono Track again, SHIFT + UP arrow or CTRL + A to select both track...
