Re: Record in-game audio with pressing hotkey for recording
Hello, I have a problem with your software. It is really cool software (needed some time to understand that if I wanna Audacity to record the exact same audio coming out of my laptop's speakers, I should use the Speakers option for recording the audio :D ), but I want to record audio when I am in-g...

Re: Sync delay when importing from m2ts files
Audacity doesn't natively support Blu-Ray formats. As you can see at https://www.ffmpeg.org/general.html FFmpeg only offers limited Blu-Ray support. If you try to decode the files to WAV with FFmpeg standalone (at the command-line) and you receive the same issues, then it is a limitation in FFmpeg a...

Re: Live listen is fine but recorded playback is not
Speed problems are always sample rate mismatches somewhere. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#sync especially the section "If you are on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8". Your Solo supports 44100, 48000, 88200 and 96000 Hz. It may well defaul...

Re: Missing WXbase28..
Please be careful with Windows XP. Microsoft are no longer officially supporting it, so it will be unpatched or not fully patched against any new security vulnerabilities that appear. Ensure you have a good third-party anti-virus application. Be aware though that this will not give you complete pro...

Re: USB Audio No Recording Level Button or Adjustment
Further thoughts? Mackie makes the mixer and claims support for XP. It is also down to them to tell you how to adjust the output level of the mixer over USB. The only other suggestion I might have is to look in Windows Device Manager while the mixer is connected. Look under "Sound, video and g...

Re: Audacity Won't Export the full Audio.
for some reason the files are all of differing sizes despite being the exact same length If you are exporting to different formats the exported files will be of different size according to whether the format you exported to is compressed (like MP3) or uncompressed (like WAV). Something's broken. :|...

Re: Audacity Won't Export the full Audio.
I have 80 gigs of 930 free on the drive I'm saving it to, Does Audacity need more room than the actual file takes up in the end to actually export it? The 15 minute pieces on my drive are only about 5 gigs, so an hour and a half shouldn't be larger than 80 gigs. If your Default Sample Format in Qua...

Re: Unable to import .wav and .ogg
I repeat my suggestion that you could examine the file in MediaInfo which can tell you what type of audio it actually contains.coreynj wrote:No, I did that, and they're still .wav and .ogg, no extra file extensions after that. I don't know why audacity doesn't like the file, but likes its own export.

Re: Unable to import .wav and .ogg
I'm trying to speed up and slow down audios. When I download an .mp3 file and speed it up, then slow it down later, it sounds muffled, since the file is compressed. However, when I use .wav and .ogg, those aren't compressed audio file types, so they don't sound muffled when slowed down or sped up. ...

Re: Audacity Won't Export the full Audio.
Please always read the pink panel at the top of the page and give us the details of your version of Audacity and Windows. I've been using Audacity for a while with no problems, but recently I started recording voice overs for things, which usually end up being a length of 1-2 hours. I've been having...
