Re: Looking for consultant
... I just want to download music from vinyl or the internet into iTunes ... There are unofficial Audacity tutorials on YouTube . Which are really not recommended unless you find it hard to assimilate text. Most YouTube tutorials don't say what version of Audacity they are using (some are using old...

Re: Looking for consultant
We don't do that, nor do we have time to. Also you need copyright holders' permission before you can record music from the internet. I suspect you are just panicking at the unknown. You can answer what a sound card driver is by using your favourite search engine (Google, Bing and so on). iTunes is a...

Re: Recover damaged AUP file from _data folder
If the AutoSave folder does not exist then you deleted it yourself. I am guessing you have been interfering with your projects in ways you have not told us, for example that is why you had a copy AUP file with no _data folder. Re: Recording with defects
Audacity records the signal it receives. If it gets sent noises due to a corrupted stream, it records the noises.
Exactly what equipment are you recording with (makes and model numbers) are how does that equipment connect to the computer?

Re: Report a Bug ... v. 2.1.3
As far as the error messages, they don't seem to be stopping (after computer restart) and per settings with the declicker and de-esser plugins (plugins I added myself back w/2.1.2), I never changed the settings and have only ever used as they came, great tools though. Have you got duplicate copies ...

Re: Help with editing
I think someone (tried to) modify Clipfix to do this, some years ago. That was me It was one of my first attempts to modify a Nyquist plug-in. See: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=31433#p31433 Do you still regard that code as alpha/pre-alpha from your now more experienced perspective?...

This downconversion will apply dither noise, unless you turned that off in "High-quality conversion" in Quality Preferences. and if you turn off "dither" in preferences, then you will get "quantization noise" due to rounding down to 16-bit. And if that leads to the que...
