Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more
Audacity does not provide binaries of Audacity on Linux. Does that mean that the Audacity we find on Ubuntu's software manager is there only because a volunteer helped put it there? Or volunteers, yes. Audacity only provides source code for Linux. Each Linux distribution decides if they want to mak...

Re: No loop playback button?
There is less consensus if loop should loop the whole track cursor-to-cursor, or loop from cursor to track end. If its one or the other, I would vote for looping the whole track from the cursor position You already have voted (already counted and now recorded on the Wiki Feature Requests). The &quo...

Re: The problem with effect "Normalize".
That Paulstretch example seems a poor decision There are many cases, but generally it is not due to a recent "design decision" to change the accuracy, but rather that the default accuracy is now strictly enforced (validated) whereas previous it was not. Shouldn't be hard to fix those issu...

Re: The problem with effect "Normalize".
Presumably there is a "scientific" use case for two decimal places of accuracy? For "scientific" cases, there is a "scientific" tool - "Nyquist". With Nyquist you can have 32-bit float precision (about 15 decimal places). For example, to amplify by -0.12345 d...

Re: Zoom view snap-back feature.
How exactly do you want to implement it? Years ago there was a "zoom toggle" button with a double magnifying glass that switched between the last two used levels of zoom. Or zoom level and view position could be added to Region Save/Restore. This seems closest to your suggestion if it capt...

Re: One track to one instrument or voice
So there is only this program(Melodyne by Celemony) that would allow do this? No other programs that would be free? You could try ISSE : An Interactive Source Separation Editor - I gave you a cached URL because SourceForge is offline at present. You can always use your favourite search engine yours...

Re: Win. XP will not record properly after upgrading to 2.0.
Windows 8 (and Windows 10 to come) are more lightweight than XP SP3 (or Vista) but of course you'll have to pay for a new Windows version, and a "lite" version of Linux will be lighter still.

Re: faint aftereffect when recording streaming audio
Yes, am using WASAPI; in fact, "everything" by the Manual. That's what's the maddening thing. Thought maybe a reset of the 100, -130 settings might help, but in what direction? "Latency Correction" is irrelevant if you are not overdubbing. I doubt "Audio to buffer" is ...
