What does that mean? Are you running 2.1.2 out of a folder that also contains Audacity 1.3.<something>?

Re: 2.1.3 minor bug in Preferences?

At a guess, you may have duplicated copies of Audacity effects due to running Audacity from different folders. If there are duplicate copies, Keyboard Preferences lists the path to each copy, and this will greatly extend the width of the first column. If you have duplicate copies, exit Audacity and ...

Re: [Settings for recording] "Audio to buffer" and WASAPI vs

There is no need to use Windows DirectSound if you don't want to. We recommend WASAPI loopback because this is all digital, unlike Stereo Mix. Gale I am not sure to understand how the hosts work with "Shared/Exclusive Mode". I disabled "Exclusive Mode" in Windows Sound. I tested ...

Re: Recover damaged AUP file from _data folder

I can´t find that file What file are referring to there? All I am saying is that the AutoSave folder is created by Audacity, so if it is not there then you or something else on your system deleted it. If you don't have the AutoSave folder, then simply try finding the missing block files and putting...

Re: file names missing or not showing correctly in Import>Au

As I say, I am not familiar with openSUSE. Its exact Audacity dependencies may differ from what is listed in our Wiki. Are you sure you installed glibc and glibc-devel? Otherwise, I think you need to raise the question on the openSUSE forums. Let us know how you get on. Gale OK got wxWidgets install...

Re: Looking for consultant

I agree users might like our videos. But as I say, we do not have time to remake videos every time a relevant part of the interface changes. Monetized videos seem out of control at the moment, even turning up ads for ISIS and other terrorist organisations. Gale ... Paul-L(icameli), of DeClicker fame...

Re: Little sound from left speaker

Hi Gale. My Audacity unit is attached via an USB cable. Does the turntable have red and white cables? If so, do what Doug suggested: If you've got a turntable with a USB port, try connecting the turntable's analog outputs to your stereo, or to your "powered" computer speakers, or somethin...

It is hardly a priority when only two people want a button in Save Changes to show history.

But you can always send us a Git Pull Request when you have coded it for us.

Re: Report a Bug ... v. 2.1.3

delete the file "pluginsettings.cfg" Thanks Gale.. but.. I did this and still the same problem -and I don't have doubles in the effects project menu. Perhaps Audacity was still running when you deleted pluginsettings.cfg. And now noticed the Bass/Treble effect did not work right v213 - on...

Re: Side by Side error

Please don't post in someone else's topic if your question is nothing to do with the topic. I started a new topic for you. There is clearly a "side by side" error in 2.13 that is not in the previous version. Assuming you mean "2.1.3" yes this may occur if you are monitoring the W...
