You do need to reboot reasonably often using a USB connection. However only 10 minutes recording without problems isn't reasonable.
If setting a low Audio to buffer in Audacity doesn't help, then you could try resetting the SMC.

Re: Can't change the audio device.
Greetings. I've been trying to edit an audio but I can only hear it from the speakers. When I try to change it to the headphones the program automatically changes it back to the speakers. Is this a bug or...? To begin with, make sure you are using the current Audacity 2.1.3 release from http://www....

Re: Audacity changes my Microphone levels.
Is there a way I can prevent Audacity from tampering with my microphone levels? All help is much appreciated! It isn't tampering. When you select the mic device in Audacity, the recording volume slider in Audacity is meant to adjust the level of the mic slider in Windows. And you only have one mic,...

Re: Exporting & Naming
The nearest you will get is 010117 Artist Name -- Set One -01.wav 010117 Artist Name -- Set One -02.wav 010117 Artist Name -- Set One -03.wav or whatever the export format is. To get that, choose "Numbering after File name prefix" and enter 010117 Artist Name -- Set One in the text box. Do...

Re: Recover damaged AUP file from _data folder
You should always have a backup project or WAV file in case a problem strikes. This, as yet unpublished, article in the Audacity Manual guides on this: http://alphamanual.audacityteam.org/man/User:Billw58/Backup_Strategies WC There is published information http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/...

Re: Recover damaged AUP file from _data folder
I´m reffering to the e00185c.au file that you mentioned in the previous post. I can´t find that or any of the other ones. Then the recording is lost, if you don't have a backup. Have you looked in Time Machine for backups? Where do I find the info where the audio file should be put back? In the log...

Re: Best way to install 2.1.3
I have 2.1.2 installed with a mix of beta build component files What does that mean? Are you running 2.1.2 out of a folder that also contains Audacity 1.3.<something>? I have 2.1.2 in ` Program Files (x86) \ Audacity ´ folder with 2.1.3 alpha files.. and now running 2.1.3 out of ` Program Files (x8...

Re: Export audio.
Is it possible to display a line "Export as mp3" in the main menu "File"? After all, the vast majority of files are exported as mp3. Audacity 2.2.0-alpha-Mar 22 2017 That will not happen because the developers want to shorten the root menus. Perhaps sometime, the developers may ...

Re: Best way to install 2.1.3
Question : Just reinstall 2.1.2 in the original folder and forget about uninstalling? what about custom settings? Your settings are in Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\audacity.cfg. Those settings don't change unless you delete audacity.cfg or reinstall Audacity with "Reset Preference...
