Have you considered using some macro tool to do that job?
No need - perissos didn't understand when he wrote that the 1.2 Recovery Utility pieces the AU files together into a WAV.

Re: mixed up sectors after crash recovery

The problem with recording larger projects [60-minutes long] is that you cannot save on the fly, like when you are editing a project. Yes I know what you mean - I've often thought the same myself as I've been making longer un-repeatable recordings. Either of you could "vote" for that if y...

Re: Unsatisfying spectrogram

Is unchecking "Grids" too extreme for you?

Re: Option to disable "left-click boundary to merge"

I counted farrarfrfarfrffa's post as a "vote" on Wiki Feature Requests . I don't think you even need configurable mouse bindings, although I would like to see those. If you want to remove a split line with a click, deliver a right-click. Right-click over a split line is not used, but right...

Re: Poor Audio being recorded

First make sure you have copyright holders' permission to record - you probably don't if it's the BBC. The BBC has been very grateful in recent years for amateur recordists (audio and video) who "saved" shows that the BBC in their infinite wisdom thought fit to trash in the bin of "r...

This is noted at http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200#c2 - if you are a C++ programmer, please feel free to send us a patch or preferably a git pull request.

Re: Numeric value in amplify effect

It's a simple very standard qwerty Keyboard with stickers to convert it in azerty (I'm living in Nicaragua and it's impossible to find a AZERTY here.) According to Wikipedia, AZERTY keyboards use "upper case" for number (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AZERTY) Have you tried with both upper...

Re: iMic gives "Error while opening sound device"

when I now unplug the imic, it remains selectable in the popup. When I click record, it gives this error message. When I plug the imic back in, it is automatically selected as input in System prefs and audio midi setup, and voila I get the error message too, even if I unselect and select it. But no...

Re: Menu items and ellipses

I suggest you quit Audacity, then delete the file Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\pluginregistry.cfg and restart Audacity. I don't see 6 dots anymore. Good. So are there any more cases of six dots? The translators appear to be doing that already (look for example in the "Hilfe&...

Re: Normalizing several files of music

...a couple of years ago, when I sent my laptop for some technical adjustments (I had then with the hard disk), the technician responsible loaded a pirate version of Windows 7 Ultimate when rebooting my whole system. So, that's the end for that issue. Maybe not the end. I seem to vaguely remember M...
