Re: Audacity 2.1.1 recording problems on OS X Yosemite 10.10
As per similar posts in this Mac board. Set up Yeti as default device in /Applications/Audio MIDI Setup with the same sample rate and number of channels that you are recording with in Audacity. Experiment with "Audio to buffer" in the "Recording" section of Audacity Preferences. ...

Re: Resampling lower cuts the audio in half
We should also be clear that "11 kHz" and "22 kHz" are non-standard. It's 11025 Hz (11.025 kHz) and 22050 Hz (22.050 kHz).
You can't directly control the FLAC bitrate - that's determined by sample rate, bit depth and number of channels.

Re: No loop playback button?
It could not be the only solution to it IMO. Some pointing devices do not have easily used right-click, and right-clicking a button may not be expected or discoverable.rambomhtri wrote:right button is underused in mouses. You could right click the play button and that action could loop your selection.

Re: Waveform antialiasing
Blurring looks terrible to me. If you are zoomed in to see the samples I think you can see what is going on, however the lines between samples are joined. So for me the argument turns on which image in this set https://twistedwave.com/doc/WaveformAntialiasing.png is the most accurate. The antialiase...

Re: Confusing interaction track and global Spectrogram setti
There is also a button "Use as Defaults" which applies most settings to all folders. Icon size and text size are only applied to the current folder you're in, even if you click "Use as Defaults". I have not researched if that is a bug in Yosemite or intentional. According to a G...

Re: Confusing interaction track and global Spectrogram setti
I think it makes little sense to think of defaults as "Preferences" now that any track can ignore Preferences and now that users may want to change defaults more frequently. In most of the applications that I use routinely (including Audacity), one of the first things that I do after a cl...

Re: LADSPA plugin and a few more questions [SOLVED]
Hi Gale and Koz. Thanks for your reply. I enabled the LADSPA effects and it worked. I can see the blue waveforms and I can hear the sound now. I still have other questions as I am quite new to everything. Should I continue with this thread or open a new one? I will mark this as SOLVED and lock this...

Re: No loop playback button?
Now the topic, c'mon, I myself use a lot the loop playback ,and it's easy as pie. As steve said, you just got to press "Shift", and the play button automatically even changes its icon and shows the loop button. But if you really need a faster way to loop, what I've done is to shortcut the...

Re: Poor Audio being recorded
its prob a fault of windows not the editor...it worked ok with the last laptop i used.....guess thats prob as good as its going to get Clearly the recording is being filtered to block the high frequencies, but Audacity does not have that ability. As I said, it could be an unwanted sound effect or e...

Re: opening audio
So I've managed to import single 7 Gb 'illegal' wav files using ffmpeg They are "illegal" if they have WAV extension and/or WAV headers. Have you looked in MediaInfo or a hex editor at the file headers? Note: if you obtain MediaInfo, get the version without installer - the installer may h...
