Re: Automatically import raw data files?
What you're asking is how OSX can detect raw data and send the file to Audacity when you double click it. This can be done with RCDefaultApp, see: http://www.rubicode.com/Software/RCDefaultApp/ The OS X built-in method to change default application for a file type should work too. I don't think tha...

Re: Where is the source-code?
Yes, I understand that there are lots of modules/callable-subroutines/library's of source-code, etc., But, there's always a 'main-driver'. It's probably the file that invokes the initial GUI screen for the user. Are you trying to change the "Welcome to Audacity" screen? We can't help you ...

Re: InternalPortAudio error since windows 10 update
I was running version 2.1.0 on my desktop system and also had this problem when I did the Win10 upgrade. I'm using a Realtek onboard soundcard and a Generic USB mixing desk. Audacity came up with the "No Devices Found" error. Tried updating to 2.1.1 but no result. Did a driver update but ...

Re: Gain sliders moving during playback
What version of Windows? Gain sliders are not linked, though some would like that feature. I suggest you uninstall the Audacity version you have now then download Audacity from us at http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Half way through installation, check (tick) the "Reset Preferences&qu...

Re: Effects settings won't save
Effects settings won't save. The dialogue box opens; I click to save, but the folder shows empty afterwards, other than the subfolders that are already there. Please read the pink panel at the top of the page and give us the required information. Which effect(s) exactly are you talking about? Are y...

Re: Confusing interaction track and global Spectrogram setti
Your suggestion makes it harder to reset one track back to defaults from within View Settings, Do you actually need to set a track back to defaults? In practice, I'd be more concerned about setting a track to a view that provides the visual information that I need for whatever task I am currently d...

Re: Where is the source-code?
I'm looking for the 'main' source-code file. The one main file that you would work on if you wanted to make a modification to the main program. What's the name of that file? and where is it? Source code does not work like that. There is no "main" file. You change one or more relevant file...

Re: Automatically import raw data files?
Audacity should decode ATRAC if you add FFmpeg to your computer. Decoding will not work if the file is encrypted (most ATRAC files are encrypted). There are many variations of ATRAC so I'd not be confident that FFmpeg (using a reverse engineered decoder) will succeed. According to https://www.ffmpe...

Re: No loop playback button?
Help/About Audacity... I think would be perfect to show a tab that shows new changes. Again it relies on users realising that information can be accessed from the Help Menu. Context-sensitive help would be more efficient. Could we justify a little Help symbol in the first track, to left of the coll...
