Re: Resampling lower cuts the audio in half
Here is the spectrum of the file displayed in the animation above. The audio was a Youtube soundtrack rip, and now I see it was probably an 11 kHz (5.5 kHz bandwidth) originally? Does FLAC generate energy in the 5.5 - 11 kHz range when coding? What is your explanation of this.. anyone? Re-encoding ...

Re: Resampling lower cuts the audio in half
We should also be clear that "11 kHz" and "22 kHz" are non-standard. You can't directly control the FLAC bitrate - that's determined by sample rate, bit depth and number of channels. [...] In my defense, and leading to the confusion, Winamp 2.64 (yep, love that old version) disp...

Re: How upsample channel to 11 289 600 hz
I just want this in audacity, for some dsp treatment and after dowsampled it back to normal rate. Audacity can import all sample rate file and can do resampling effect with all sample rate. I already can import a 11289600 Hz file and downsampling it to 44,1, Auda don't allow upsampling because no s...

Re: Sensible defaults could make Audacity a lot better
The majority of users are importing music. And that music is usually compressed to death. It's as simple as that. If that is the primary concern, then I venture to say that a better solution would be for "show clipping" to be enabled by default. It would be virtually impossible for a sigh...

Re: Recording stops and flatlines
I'll try cleaning the plug, but I doubt that's it because if I click the stop record button in Audacity, and then close without saving, then reopen and click record, it starts recording fine again. Please give us the information requested in the pink panel at the top of the page. Installing (or rei...

Re: Using the Record Button In Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode)
I am using Audacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode) through a Windows 7 operating system We can't help you with that obsolete and probably very buggy version of Audacity. Please read the pink panel at the top of the page. I strongly suggest updating to the latest 2.1.1 version from http://audacityteam.org/downl...

Re: window setting
Ok you're right thanx but I'm not able to use these sorts of programmation ? Would you ? We can record a feature request for you. What is your request - a built-in macro recorder in Audacity? Or an Import / Export Preferences option? Do you want to "set rate" to a specific rate, changing ...

Re: InternalPortAudio error since windows 10 update
HPG60 214EM laptop (originally Vista, no drivers from HP for Win 8 up). So you have old hardware and your manufacturer has not provided fully matched drivers for the operating system you have now upgraded to. Could I ask, what has changed in Audacity from v2.03 that is relevant to this? Changes tha...

Re: cant install onto my mac
Sorry to wake up an old forum, but I am encountering this problem as well. Usually the problem is not identical in all respects. There are various symptoms described in this topic. It is usually better to start a new topic. I have been able to run audacity on my computer before. However, recently (...
