Re: Audacity recordings shorter than recording time

What version of Audacity are you using? See the pink panel at the top of the page. Audacity does not officially support Windows 10 yet. Did you ever get a satisfactory recording in Windows 10? Does the software that records the video support Windows 10? What recording source do you choose in Audacit...

Re: Audacity problem with Guitar Rig 5, Windows 8.1

I've used Audacity for some time, and recorded many guitar parts using Guitar rig 5 plugin. Then i bought a new computer with windows 8.1 (earlier I had W7) and every time I try to apply plugin "Guitar Rig 5" to the track, Auduacity freezes and crashes. 1. I've reinstalled with reseting p...

Re: Problems using mda VST's

Sorry it is a known problem caused by the change to real-time preview for VST effects introduced in Audacity 2.1.0. We do have a fix for this in our development code. You can try it out in the latest "nightly build" at the top of http://gaclrecords.org.uk/win-nightly/ . Nightly builds may ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 recording problems on OS X Yosemite 10.10

Do you suggest reducing or increasing the buffer? This only happens every so often, so it's had to just adjust and excitement. If you have skipping you would normally increase the buffer but it does not necessarily work like that on modern OS X. If you increase the buffer you can get serious clicki...

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 importing issue.

Is the file you are importing into 2.1.1 also an AAC file? Did you change the version of FFmpeg you are using? If possible please post an example file on Dropbox or similar and give us the address to download the file. If not, please obtain "MediaInfo" from http://mediainfo.sourceforge.ne...

Re: windows 10 mic problem

They will always say which operating system the drivers are meant for. The mic is the laptops internal mic that gos with the webcam I...

Re: Gain sliders moving during playback

Just to be clear, the behavior doesn't always happen immediately, I find that when I left click and drag the gain/pan button, that if I hold down the button for an extended period, say 1-2 seconds, then I see the movement in the other tracks gain/pan buttons. This often happens even if I don't move...

Re: How upsample channel to 11 289 600 hz

I just want this in audacity, for some dsp treatment and after dowsampled it back to normal rate. Audacity can import all sample rate file and can do resampling effect with all sample rate. I already can import a 11289600 Hz file and downsampling it to 44,1, Auda don't allow upsampling because no s...

Re: Gain sliders moving during playback

Right-click over audacity.exe, choose Properties then the Compatibility tab. Have you got Compatibility mode turned on, or set for old versions of Windows? Did you make changes to the system just before this started happening? Such as installing an app that modifies window behaviour? No, compatibil...
