Re: Running Audacity with Windows 10
I have Audacity 2.1.1. The soundcard that I have is a Sound Blaster SB1095 USB. I have tried unplugging the soundcard and plugging it back in and Audacity still doesn't recognize it. Have you installed what appear to be the recommended Windows 10 drivers for SB 1095: http://support.creative.com/Dow...

Re: Audacity E-MU1212m Problem
It has be running fine with Cool Edit 2000 & Audacity 2.0.6 with 2gb 240pin dimm PC3-10666 1333 memory but since I added 2 - 4 gb sticks totaling 8gb when I record from my stereo I can't get it to work & when I do it stutters. If I pull a stick out I can get it to always record be the playb...

Re: windows 10 need help pretty please.
We don't provide technical support for WavePad. See http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/support.html for more information. Audacity does not support WPP files. So if you record with WavePad you must save WAV files. Are you saying that Windows recognises the headset in Windows Sound but Audacity does not? ...

Re: plugin Sample Data Import
I use Audacity 2.1.1 under Windows 8. I try to use the plug-in "Sample Data Import". It does not work. In what way? What happens? Presumably you added the space at the end of the ;control line and you see the text box to add the file name? Did you read http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewto...

Re: project window
Unbelievable...I did the download yesterday as you said...I tried for two hours to get something to work. I just got your response, opened Audacity to get a screenshot, and the recorder is there! I am getting the impression Audacity opened (the menu bar said "Audacity") but something you ...

Re: Unable to record using a Blue Yeti (USB)
When you use Windows DirectSound or MME, is the Audacity recording slider still greyed out? You must turn the recording volume up in Audacity or Windows. The recording slider moves at the speed it should but nothing is recorded. A flat line at 0 db. Sorry, to be clear I meant the Audacity Recording...

Re: Bitrate for recording with Realtek and low volume
Windows drivers will up-sample, so you never really know if your soundcard is recording in high-resolution or if it's recording at 16/44.1 (or 16/48) and upsampling. As I understand it, the Windows Sound "Default Format" for sample rate and bit depth is sent to Audacity when the device is...

Re: Aud 2.1.1, Win 7, no stereo mix, HP laptop
I've never compared my audio driver list on the HP site before It is the standard practice that you should follow. There is nothing to compare. You should install HP's latest Windows 7 audio driver for your computer model. Doing that will overwrite whatever drivers you have now, but you will still ...

Re: Aud 2.1.1, Win 7, no stereo mix, HP laptop
The sound card provides stereo mix, if its drivers support that. Go to the HP site and ensure you have the latest audio drivers for Windows 7 for your particular HP model. If that does not expose Stereo Mix in Windows Sound when you show disabled devices, use the Windows WASAPI (loopback) choice in ...
