Re: Anyone have luck? External USB Sound Card w/double mic-p

I tested at home a couple nights before and it seemed like all would work well. We ran the system through the ringer over 2 1/2 hours last night and it worked perfectly. The sound was excellent. The recording came across loud and clear and the little gadget never missed a beat. Thanks for following...

Re: How to Export to FLAC with Padding?

See Exporting to an External Program - Audacity Manual .Gale I already saw all that documentation about FLAC (top to bottom!), and I didn't find anything to *keep* (keyword here) what there is there already, which is what I want, because I'm using this on a chain in hundreds of files. Sorry, I did ...

Re: No Audio when playing back

This problem is really driving me crazy. At this point other than re-formatting my hard drive and reloading a ton of software, I don't see any other way to fix the problem. I have looked for the the device page I was told about and it's completely different on my computer. The problem didn't start ...

Re: plugin Sample Data Import

_ When I try to import this file in a track mono I write:(C:\\Users\\... (my name)...\\... \\sample-data.txt") or (s-read "C:\\Users\\... (my name)...\\ ... \\sample-data.txt")Nothing takes place in Audacity. Are you using Generate > Sample Data Import... ? Then all you have to do is...

Re: No Waveform when open a WAV File

Only works if runs Audacity with ADMIN PRIVILEGES... if not, there are the same problem.... That indicates that there is a problem with your Audacity temporary directory. The write permissions for the current location require admin privileges. You need to set the temp directory to a location where ...

To be pedantic, that would be a new window in the same instance of Audacity. We don't allow running more than one Audacity at a time with the same user.

Re: Exporting Files

I am currently running 2.1.0, haven't bothered to update Unless there is a specific reason to upgrade, you probably shouldn't. Audacity 2.1.2 will have patches for mistakes in 2.1.1. Actually, 2.1.1 has hidden GSM WAV as an option inside "Other uncompressed files". The WAV choices in the ...

Re: No Audio when playing back

I just checked at all the tool bars available. I couldn't not find a tool bar named that. There is a bar ( Box ) that has volume controls for the speaker and mic, there is also a box to the right side that has nothing in it. Start by giving us the information from the pink panel at the top of the p...

Try MP3DirectCut or similar direct MP3 editor. That way you won't lose quality re-encoding the MP3's as you would with Audacity. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/MP3#re-encode.
