Re: Unable to Record Audio With Game Open

You could probably try VoiceMeeter. The "Banana" version has its own recorder so you don't even have to use Audacity.

Re: Could not find project data folder error message

I was combining the audio from 2 files into one, so I copied File1.aup and renamed it, and then manually copied the audio from File2.aup into the File1copy.aup. If you manually interfere with Audacity projects you will probably just destroy them, as you found out. You must not do renames and copyin...

Re: Recording vinyl - playing at too high speed

If you now have an Audacity recording that plays too fast, use Effect > Change Speed... to slow it down. You have an old version of Audacity. You would be better to obtain the current Audacity 2.1.3 direct from us: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows . Then Change Speed will look like it do...

See How to check which Windows XP Service Pack is installed on your computer.

What we are asking is why are you using Audacity 2.0.6, if your computer can run the current 2.1.3 ?

Re: Focusrite Saphire 14. Can't select correct input

Can you attach the contents of Help > Audio Device Info... top right of Audacity then we can see what devices Audacity sees. Please see how to attach files to forum posts . Have you tried in Audio MIDI Setup making a two channel aggregate device with your S/PDIF channels 5 and 6 as channels 1 and 2?...

Thanks for that... Ok on my toolbar what shows is from left to right MME but then the next one is a choice of 3 and all of them begin with the word Microphone.. The link you sent me shows Stereo Mix (Realtek etc...) How would I change that...? As stated before, select as recording device in Device ...

Re: Invalid character number + Open' command to open...

Ed, We're talking about editing AUP files not creating new ones, but as far as I can see Notepad on Windows 10 does not change the encoding of an existing UTF-8 AUP file to ANSI, even if its last Save As was ANSI. Notepad does however add BOM to the UTF-8 encoding as I said, and that does then rende...

Re: Hearing delayed Audacity playback in Presonus input

I did not have software playthrough on, however this problem seems to have largely resolved itself. Today I can still hear delayed input audio when my AudioBox is in full playback mode, but the volume is quiet enough that when I have it in the middle between input and playback I can hear what I am ...

Re: Analog Mixing Console USB out to Win 7 ???

I am a "long time Audacity user" as you put it. I don't have your mixer but the real point is that we cannot see your computer from here. ;) If you are not sure what Windows calls the mixer, open Windows Sound . Use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the System Tray then when W...
