Re: Audacity 2.1.1 crashes Win 7 Pro 64-bit [SOLVED]
I'm glad you worked it out. I'll mark the topic solved then. Yes, Device Manager or Windows Update don't necessarily have the latest drivers. I think they check the Windows WHQL testing database, not the manufacturer's sources. For motherboard audio, the "best" drivers that Windows can fin...

Re: Verdict on the settings for new Noise Reduction?
I am pleased we finally increased default smoothing, but don't you think it looks odd to have a default at the extreme of a slider scale?Paul L wrote: Default smoothing will be 6 in future versions.

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 crashes Win 7 Pro 64-bit
You can use WhoCrashed to give you a very basic idea of the root cause(s) of the problem. It is worth trying in case it mentions something other than Etron, or a lower level cause. Updated the Realtek audio drivers to the latest version available. Did you update those explicitly by going to the comp...

Re: Audacity E-MU1212m Problem
What is the PNY? Audacity has a setting "Audio to buffer" in Recording Preferences. If E-MU has a buffer setting for example in its control panel, you may need to adjust that setting as well. Sample rates are important too. Excessive sample rates or rates mismatched between the device, Win...

Re: [Windows 8.1, Audacity v. 2.0.5] Recording through Mixer
To ask the obvious, is the Audacity recording slider turned up and are you recording from the correct USB recording device in Audacity?
Is the audio loud enough listening in headphones connected to the Mobile Pre? if not you may need to send louder output from the mixer.

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 crashes on Yosemite OS X 10.10.5
I am running audacity 2.1.0 on yosemite 10.10. The topic title says 2.1.1, presumably because you posted in someone else's topic originally. It's always clearer to start a new topic and describe your own exact issues, although that might seem counter-intuitive. The reason is that it gets confusing ...

Re: Audacity Wav File
I think this will need to go in src\export\ExportPCM.cpp. Look at the history of that file on GitHub and at what changes to other files (if any) were made in those commits.
That should give you the idea.

Re: Combine Label Names For Export
when the file is open in audacity each label shows correctly in the timeline horizontally but each label is also separated into a separate track bar scrolling down beneath the music file. So when i try to "export multiple" it only exports the first track. How many audio tracks do you have...
