Re: Can Nyquist make a chainer?

Audacity chains work only with Audacity effects. Can Nyquist make a chained for plugins? You must be using an outdated version of Audacity. Nyquist plugins work in Chains. Get the latest Audacity 2.1.1 from http://audacityteam.org/download/ . If you use Equalization you will be better with 2.1.0 fr...

Re: can't record from mini-disk onto computer (further issue

One further issue - I've just noticed that when I play files i've already transferred or downloaded to my computer (one a downloaded audio file of a river, the other from a video I took on my blackberry) the sound is completely changed - it is like a mild pneumatic drill. i assume this is due to th...

Re: distorted

where is the auto recording level setting so i dont need to adjust it every time? I suggest you read the manual for your mixer for any setting to do with the mixer. Audacity has no way in the released code of setting any specific dB level to record at, but you can turn down the Audacity recording s...

Re: MP3 files not loading correctly

I have seen several recent previous posts about this same problem. Each time, no one could duplicate it. Could you please give those examples? Might you be thinking of MP4 files on OS X: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=84958 ? That one is an Audacity problem but it is now fix...

Re: No Input

Thank you for replying. Sorry I did not provide the information on my original post, but I am just so upset. I am using Audacity 2.1.1 (I obtained it via the exe. installer) on Windows 8.1-64 bit. My mike is a USB mike (Yeti)-I also tried my USB headset and that does not work either. As I may have ...

Re: effect in double / attachement

thia the following message with the attachement You are using Audacity from different locations (2.1.0 and some other version), so Audacity registers "plugin" effects it sees in both locations. To remove the duplicate entries, Audacity > Quit Audacity. Then open Finder, use Go > Go to Fol...

Re: Audacity E-MU1212m Problem

The problem I was having before sounded exactly like this in the link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6ZgmKRbTXM (Fast Forward to 1:30) All sounds were correctly heard while playing as Audacity was recording but upon playback of the recording that is what it sounded like. [...] I will post a...

Re: Muting the TV in the clip - Windows 10 - 2.1.1

I hate it when things can't be done without the help of special software but, alas, I am software developer so I know exactly what you mean there. Koz here usually answers like this: The Four Horsemen of Audio Recording (reliable, time-tested ways to kill your show) -- 1. Echoes and room reverberat...

Re: Verdict on the settings for new Noise Reduction?

Default smoothing will be 6 in future versions. I am pleased we finally increased default smoothing, but don't you think it looks odd to have a default at the extreme of a slider scale? Gale My thoughts too. The extreme should in any case be higher - 10 or 12. If I'm correct, 6 is approx. 150 Hz an...
