Re: Batch split at silence and interval

Did you try mp3TrueEdit? The free version is feature-limited and I don't think it has the exact feature you want but I know the person who develops it - he might be prepared to add the feature you want as some kind of commercial arrangement.

Re: Error: Internal PortAudio error

I turned off the internal audio card in the BIOS, and I left the MBox mini plugged in, and surprise!! It works .. Audacity recognized the card!! ... record and playback. .. my conclusion is that there is a bug (in my case) that audacity can't manage USB and internal audio card at the same time!! We...

Re: audacity did not recognize the type of the file...

Are you sure you were not using File > Import > Audio... ? That shows you the message you quote in 2.0.5 if you try to import a project. Use File > Open... or File > Recent Files to open a project from within Audacity. If you had the current Audacity 2.1.1 there would be a better error message telli...

Re: audacity wont launch (newest version) even after .cfg fi

There is a crash report in the console (a lot of them actually) Could you attach the latest crash report for Audacity? I deleted my .cfg file and relaunched audacity like you suggested, but when I went to my Audacity Folder, there was no new .cfg (there wasn't one to start with, that's why I made o...

No, it started getting reported in Mavericks. Possibly wx3 has somewhat fixed the recording side of that problem, but the more significant problem that the default Audio to buffer can cause (clicky playback) is very much still there.

Re: Can't Export Multiple based on Labels

I can't see an obvious way to make the Labels option in Export Multiple greyed out when there is a label track, but I can't see all your project. What is above the audio track that we can see in your picture? In particular there are possible Audacity bugs if exporting multiple by labels with multipl...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Zoom in moves cursor

should I keep using your build of 2.1.2 or are the nightlies changed enough to switch to using one of them? I think the build you have is at "5f985a2" which is still the latest commit at the top of the commit list https://github.com/audacity/audacity/commits/master# . Audacity > About Aud...

Re: audacity wont launch (newest version) even after .cfg fi

Please have a look at the pink panel at the top of the page and give us the actual three Audacity version numbers and the version of Mac OS X. The Audacity version number is important - a few people have later alpha versions than the current release and some people go to other sites to download and ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - Zoom in moves cursor

Thanks for finding this, Cliff. I can make it happen on all platforms, but it seems to depend on having a track in excess of about five minutes long. I logged it here: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1197.

The fix won't be mandatory for 2.1.2 release, but it might be done.

Re: No waves after seeing waves while recording

It would help us if you could provide the necessary information requested in the pink panel at the top of the page. I am recording a narrative, and can see wave forms while I record. However, when I try to listen to my recording, there are no waves, just a straight line and silence. I have recorded ...
