Re: Skipping During Export
This has happened to me the past two times I've recorded. I have my audacity file that sounds absolutely fine when it's in audacity but as soon as I export it the track skips just little sections (like 5 seconds) almost constantly. I've tried exporting as WAV and as MP3 and it happens either way. T...

Re: Brady Bunch Voice
As far as I know, there's no software to make an adult voice sound (realistically) like a child or a female sound like a male, etc. Simply changing the pitch won't do it. You also have to change the timbre of the voice. The "best" free voice gender changer is usually thought to be Rovee ....

Re: Bring back Noise Removal
when I use the new Noise Reduction tool, it leaves the processed sound with slight artifacts and digital tinniness. For removing the noise in the spaces or pauses of voice recording, I prefer the old Noise Removal tool. If the noise is loud, or part of the noise is random bumps and bangs that Noise...

Re: error importing project
The AUP file you attached is empty. It can't be used. Please tell us more about what you did before saving that project. Was it a recording? If so, had you edited it, or did you simply record, save project then exit Audacity? Did you turn off the computer, or did it crash while you were saving the ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.2 Alpha - CPU usage
Regarding the CPU load changing, both Garageband and Quicktime cut their CPU usage to around 1/3 of what it was when displayed in the foreground when minimized. Interestingly, they both cut the usage way down the same amount when either minimized or hidden where Audacity 2.1.1 or 2.1.0 made little ...

Yes. Reducing the buffer prevents playback problems even in known good audio files such as a CD rip.cmac185 wrote:This was just playback, not actually on the recording, correct? So reducing the recording buffer helped that?

Re: distorted
can you confirm that there is no setting that allows automatic recording volume level in audacity to avoid distortion/red bars/clipping? any version free or paid for? I already answered that in the negative, so there is no need to confirm that answer. ;) There is no paid version of Audacity. It is ...

Re: Dont want to lose my work
When you need help please assist us by giving us the information from the pink panel at the top of the page. I recorded a dozen audios in a creative period, not wanting to lose my momentum I did not stop and save after each. Suddenly I had a poweroutage and my cpu shut off, audacity saved my work, h...
