Re: When exporting multiple MP3 tracks some tracks are empty
It is quite easy to create a very short range label by mistake by nudging one of the arrow-heads ( don't ask me how I know  ) and you can only see that it has become a range label by zooming in at very high magnification. You don't have to zoom in to check. Just click in the label at any zoom...

Re: Skipping During Export
I imported the mp3 file back into Audacity and it looks fine. But it still skips. It's almost like chunks of the audio were just not exported. Is the imported file the same length as the recording you made? I downloaded the newest form of Audacity 2.1.1 and opened the project file there and now it'...

Re: Compressor in v2.1.1 throws error when run as Chain scri
XP, v2.1.1, .exe installer I would like help figuring out how to use custom parameters with the standard Compressor. I really liked how the standard lookahead Compressor worked with custom parameters (via chain script) in v2.0.6, but now it does not work that way in v2.1.1. (I normally went into th...

Re: Exporting pitch with respect to time to Excel file
I know there was a post on http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4559, and they made it seem complex (probably is). Is there any way of having pitch data export to something like this: Time (s) | Pitch (Hz) 1 400 2 600 3 440 4 880 5 700 6 700 Do you actually have one-second-long bl...

Re: win7 microphone picks up sound
Obviously you are better off with the Behringer but I will mention what could be the cause, as a point of information. It is possible there is an option in the control panel for your sound device (in the Windows Control Panel) to combine the internal and external mics into one port. This might mean ...

Re: Export labels doesn't work
Please always tell us your Audacity version and version of Mac OS X, especially if you are reporting possible bugs. See the pink panel at the top of the page. When we do that (in the same way we have done for several years) the labels turns out in lounge tracks. Track 1 (label 1) is about 55 min. 3 ...

Re: audacity wont launch (newest version) even after .cfg fi
I've attached the last crash report It doesn't seem to be attached. I expect it will be a "hang" and not a "crash". So the problem could have been a bad "lock file" or permissions problems that you can't write to /var/folders/, or both. If you want to test, it is easy ...

Re: Skipping During Export
There is nothing untoward in the Log. Did the MP3 you exported at that time also skip in iTunes and QuickTime? Can you import some of the files that skip back into Audacity? Do you see frequent flat-lined sections five seconds long when you import those files? Do you View > Fit in Window after recor...

Re: audacity 2.1.1 not launching - it shows in DOCK for a se
Even the earliest version of OS X that 2.1.1 supports (OS X 10.5) has Go > Go to Folder.
Click the Finder icon in the Dock. Look in the Finder menu bar at the top of the screen. Click on "Go" then look in the menu that drops down.
