Re: Can´t start Audacity
Hi. A problem has occured and it´s the first time it happens. Audacity does not start at all. Info pops up and says it was shut down and that I can choose to report, restart or ignore. I have tried all alternatives. Same problem with both 2.1.1 and 2.1.3. I use OS 10.10.5 but have´nt changed or upd...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech
I cant seem to get Paul's De-Clicker into Audacity 2.11 which I just d/l yesterday. Using 2.06 in the meantime. We don't make "2.06" and "2.11". I assume those are typos. I recommend you obtain the current 2.1.3 release from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/ then follow the ...

Re: Vamp plugins in Audacity 2.1.2
Audacity only shows VAMP plugins that have outputs that can be displayed in a label track. Graphs and contours can't be so represented. So Melodia is not going to appear in Audacity.

Re: Putting slight delay on recording?
Are you recording from a microphone plugged into the computer's sound card? If so, make sure in your sound card's control panel that "tie up same type of input jack" is not selected. If deselected, this might stop external mic recordings also picking up what the internal mic hears. If nece...

Also don't forget when recording WASAPI loopback or stereo mix to turn off Transport > Software Playthrough at the top of Audacity.

Re: MONO TO STEREO MIX PROBLEM
Also where does "mono to stereo mix" come into it? Are you saying that it's a problem when you export?
If there is blank space before the start of the track, Audacity does not export that blank space as silence. You have to add a little silence at the start of the track.

Re: Having to set recording level meter really low. Normal?
There is a widespread fallacy that USB recording devices will have almost no noise because they have their own analogue to digital converter that is external to the computer. This may be the case with expensive multi-track interfaces but an operating USB device has radio frequency characteristics an...

Re: Recording breakup
It is likely nothing to do with Audacity, if you are still getting dropouts. Other recording applications would have the same problem. My settings in Audacity are: Windows WASAPI (Note: the MME and Windows Direct Sound do not work for my purposes. Why not? What are your purposes? To record computer ...

Re: Having to set recording level meter really low. Normal?
In an attempt to troubleshoot this further I now appear to have permanently disabled other options in the 'Sound' section of my PC's Control Panel! I thought by disabling: Ext. Mic/Internal Mic (and, err, 'something else' "YIKES!") it might take troublesome factors out of the equation but...

Re: Having to set recording level meter really low. Normal?
The tape deck outs (L/R RCA marked 'LINE OUT') are line level. There's a gain trim level on this Citronic unit which I have set to about half way. Like I say though, there's the flickering on the meters in Audacity WITHOUT the deck (or any input source) attached. Why would you expect inputs to be n...
