Re: USB Vinyl to Computer all sound tinny

Although I had and still have a Keith Monks cleaning machine, for light treatment I would often just use a cloth with a 10%/90% mixture of isopropyl alcohol / distilled water which was the mixture I used in the machine. I needed a license to buy even the isopropyl, and the industrial methylated spir...

Re: Tempo effect on all tracks : unequality

The problem is that "empty space" before the start of the track does not get stretched, but "silent audio" is stretched just like any other audio. Have we got the correct behaviour with time-changing effects, that they don't stretch the white space before the start of the track?...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface

Personally I would fix the instrument rather than expect the software to fix it for me. In this use case, the software is an instrument. What if you have, say, a clarinet tuned to A-432 Hz and you wish to keep that tuning? In that case, the "instrument" that needs tuning is the software i...

Re: audacity and windows media player

Assuming you want the MP3's to sound roughly the same volume, use MP3Gain - this is a lossless process that won't make the file sound worse, and you can undo/redo the change. It is a standalone app, you don't use it with Audacity.

Re: G Track Latency

Audacity is closed. It is simply the connection of the Samson USB to the PC, and the headphone connected to the Samson mic. I thought I had this issue a long time ago, and changed a WMA setting, or something, somewhere in Windows, but cant find that in Windows 10, and am not sure if that has anythi...

Re: Export to WAV file format recorded at 11 kHz, 8-bit mono

If it's not already recorded, please tell us about your microphone and hardware. Assuming it's already recorded, and assuming it's already mono - At the bottom left of the Audacity window you'll see Project Rate. Select 11050Hz. I think Doug meant 11025 Hz. "11 kHz" (11000 Hz) is non-stan...

Re: Editing Tips b4 I grow old

I have lobbied Paul to document DeEsser and Mouth Declicker and then consider if they could be published on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Download_Nyquist_Plug-ins . I wish he would do that, unless there is some technical issue with the plugins (and if there is, fix the issues). I seem to recall...
