Re: Slim down the Click Track interface

The idea of tuning a Timpani drum to A440 +/- 24 semitones is unrealistic. We can't choose different tuning ranges for different click sounds, so if the user chooses an unrealistic tuning they will get an unrealistic sound. If you sing a song in the key of C major, and there is a rhythm sound, whet...

Re: No wav file appears on my mac

Hi, I'm on a Mac using OS X yosemite 10.10.5. I have used audacity for years, but today i went to change tempo on a song and Audacity wouldn't pull up the wav file. It opened in my tool bar like normal, I went to file>open, picked my song, and it showed that it was uploading it, and then nothing. S...

Re: multiple effect

When upgrading to a new Audacity version, it is probably easiest to trash the folder containing the previous Audacity version, then give the same name to the new folder. That way, you will not create duplicate plugins. If you have any plugins in the Audacity "Plug-ins" folder that did not ...

Re: how to enable lamemp3 recorder

If by "recorder" you mean "encoder", you can add a recommended, safe LAME MP3 encoder for Audacity to use.

See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... .html#lame.

Re: Sound level adjusting when capturing from USB

Many thanks of replay. As far I now understand the voice level will be adjusted after recorging (in this case fom USB capture device). Then the souds are in Audacity project mode. When doing it to .mp3 format set Amplify effect on. It will do the job, all musik in same project. Is that right? Are t...

Re: EXPORT MULTIPLE FUNCTION

Make sure you only added point labels. If you inadvertently dragged a small region label, you will only export that small region. If it's a region label it will have a right pointing arrowhead in the Timeline as well as left-pointing one. The below is a region label, though it may not look like it. ...

Re: Can't Write/Read Error While Recording

Recorded waves appearing then disappearing does need a FAQ. It will be the next FAQ I write, if no-one else does it first. If you look at Help > Show Log... it will probably say it cannot read the AU files it needs to read in order to save the project. The answer is probably as Koz said. In other wo...

Re: how to suppress noise which is generated by copy/paste ?

If you are generating silence, that will not help. If you have stereo audio, draw a selection for the word, then zoom in (CTRL +1) until you see the dots for each audio sample. CTRL + [ to move to the start of the selection. Adjust the selection edge so that the edge is where the sample dots are on ...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface

There are several ways that the strong / weak beats could be defined. What I want to avoid is requiring two controls to do it. What I had in mind was to have a nominal amplitude (perhaps about -4 dB, but the actual figure is yet to be determined). When the "accent" control is set to 0 %, ...

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface

The problem with missing out the word "default" is that when tuned up or down by a semitone or more, then the pitch is no longer what it says. To me, that is obvious, because we are tuning the stated pitch and that stated pitch has not changed in the interface. Somehow, "default"...
