Re: Mac OS X 10.11; Audacity 2.1.1 dmg installer
iSkysoft appears to be a media converter, and is not made by Apple. What does iSkysoft have to do with this? Are you using iSkysoft to play the MP3's that you export from Audacity? Audacity basically works on El Capitan. I can say that as a member of Audacity Team who builds and tests Audacity on E...

Re: Compressor needs better parameter options
I'm using the version 2.1.1 because it also has the vocal remove/extract effect. And yes, when you click in the start playback button (sorry if I have translated it wrong) it's possible to change the settings in the current effect, such as the volume parameters in the limiter or the OmnyVerb contro...

Re: Audio Pops During Playback
You mean the problem is gone when you attach a Firewire harddisk to the chain? That's a typical fix for FW audio interfaces and Macs with the Agere FW800 chipset before Thunderbolt replaced FW. I'm not surprised it works with the Thunderbolt adapter too. These don't have Agere chipsets, but apparen...

Re: Audio Pops During Playback
After working in Ableton Live 9 I brought a loop into Audacity and it was popping again. This time I reduced the default 100ms latency to 24ms, the value set in Ableton Live. The popping stopped. The external disk from yesterday may not have any correlation to the issue. Excellent. It's interesting...

Re: How to match bit rate of original file for game?
More of the lower bit depth choices that are inside "Other uncompressed files" should be placed in the main export choices dropdown, as per http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=982.

Re: Sound level adjusting when capturing from USB
What do you mean by "no cutting allowed"? Clipping in one channel only is still bad. You may still hear it. I mean "Allow clipping" is not marked in Amplify effect. You can enable "Allow clipping" by checking (ticking) the box, but the box is (correctly) unchecked by d...

Re: Saving files in place
Moved to "Adding Features". I am an old-timer, and can remember the day when you could load a file, edit it, and save the changes back to the file you were editing. A little dangerous perhaps, if you weren't paying attention, but simple and efficient. The project capabilities in Audacity a...

The Clicking is not a problem now. If you apparently changed nothing, the clicking "might" come back. It doesn't happen for no reason. When I export the full or selected audio as an mp3 or aiff no sound on the exported file. Played in exactly what app? What exact location on your drive is...

Re: Audio Pops During Playback
I have been using Audacity for some time now on my MacBook Pro. Recently I upgraded my OS to El Capitan and my Motu UltraLitemk3 Audio Interface (via USB2) failed to work. Motu states that my model is not compatible with El Capitan yet and they are working on new firmware but they also stated using...
