Re: Can´t start Audacity
Thanks for fast reply. I deleted those files they refer to but it still does´nt start. You have to try everything in the FAQ. Think of what changes you made that might have affected this, such as adding more plugins or so on, even though you thought you had not made changes. Can you also attach a s...

Re: Recording breakup
I cannot guarantee to have read your very long posts thoroughly. The problem is in your computer, not Audacity. I understand you now have an adaptor with TRRS plug that would let you connect a headset or TRS mono computer mic to your combo port. That does not make the combo port suitable for connect...

Re: WASAPI Loopback Recording problem
Maybe I was too eager to update, but I thought since I used the Microsoft Update Tool I would be on the safe side... It is possible when Microsoft get experience of installing the Creators Update on different machines that there will be some subsequent patches for it. Please forgive my question but...

Re: Recording breakup
Picking up the sound at some times as one channel only but at other times picking up your voice could be symptomatic of the wrong jack plug. Combo ports are almost always TRRS, not TRS. "Microphone array" sounds like the internal microphone. You can use Windows Sound (Recording tab) to see...

Re: Help with .autosave recovery
I went through about 30 minutes of recording and my PC crashed with a memory dump. Windows 10 . After a reboot, audacity offered to try and recover from an autosave. When i click on recover projects, I see an error that says: Audacity did not recognize the type of file "C:\Users\etc....autosav...

Re: Help with .autosave recovery
So I have been working on a project for a few hours and saved periodically, however I went through about 30 minutes of recording and my PC crashed with a memory dump. If the computer crashes it is not an Audacity problem. It is probably a problem with the recording device on your computer. See this...

Re: How to move a labled "song" within an project
If they are point labels that don't show you a region when you click in them you will have to click in the label, drag a region between the labels, look for the yellow vertical lines to show you have snapped to the labels, then cut. Click in the audio track where you want to paste, hold SHIFT and pr...

Re: 64-bit native
would like to see the 64-bit native so I can take advantage of the fact my computer has 16GB of RAM Audacity is probably not even using 1/2 GB, so making more RAM available will not offer benefits. If Audacity ever fixed and re-enabled the "Audio cache" feature whereby audio data is writt...

Re: WASAPI Loopback Recording problem
Another observation: This issue seems to occurr only on the first track of a project, i.e. when I start loopback recording without sound playing the recording slider stays at 0.000. But as soon as I hit stop and then record again, Audacity will perfectly start recording the second track, even with ...

This problem has already been solved in the original topic http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?t=95420.
Please don't start a new topic for the same problem. It just makes more work and confusion for everyone.
