Re: Problems installing noise gate
In Programs (x86) \Audacity\Plug-Ins\ Noisegate is there, but as a yellow book file unless I click on it, when it appears like the others, in a separate box, with a help descriptions underneath. As it says at http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/effect_menu.html#nyquist_effects , Nyquist plugins sh...

Re: 2.0.2 Win10 Two minutes of audio corrupted
Two minutes of the audio in my file has randomly been corrupted. It's not unplayable, but the sound spikes and falls in such a way that voices can barely be understood, like talking into a fan. Of the entire half-hour file, only minutes 3 to 5 have been corrupted in this way. Are they recoverable? ...

Which is great! Thank you!. I restarted and tried to record in Audacity and now I am unable to do so. Bui...

Re: Is WASAPI limited to 44000Hz?
I am new to this forum so please bear with me if I ask a silly question. I have recently installed Audacity 2 for the first time. I am using V 2.1.1 . I have also installed windows 10 64 bit. I normally record LPs at 96 / 24. I use a Xitel INPORT for A to D conversion. Thanks for giving the Audacit...

Re: Audacity won't open Project file
Here is my file btw; please help me, I put so much time into this project.. Unfortunately that AUP file is trash. There is no useful data to recover in that file. @L.Trax, did you ever export a backup WAV file from this project, or save an earlier version of the project under another name? Both are...

Re: OSX 10.11 and PreSonus iOne
Macs do not usually let you adjust input volume of USB devices, but occasionally they do. To make sure, open /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup, find the iOne input device and see if you can change the volume. When you plug headphones into the iOne to monitor what you are sending to it, is it ...

Re: export dialog too tall
the height of the export dialog gets too tall when there are too much ID3 tags. the problem is that this height keeps even with new files, so i can't resize the window to view the bottom buttons. here is an screen shot: https://www.flickr.com/photos/vladimirprieto/21488799234/ where i can't reset t...

Re: Underwater sound
Resolved the problem by changing my default playback format from 24 bit 48000 Hz to 24 bit 192000 Hz. Thanks for replying with your workaround. On the other hand, 192000 Hz is more demanding for the computer, and 44100 Hz and 48000 Hz "should" also play fine. If the bad playback was in an...

Re: Mac OS X 10.11; Audacity 2.1.1 dmg installer
I still can't preview the file either wav or mp3 versions in the finder window by tapping the space bar. With Wi Fi Off I send myself an email with the mp3 test file attached and no sound when i click play within the email. Same files do not play in iTunes either - (Audio slider is up) In Audacity ...

Re: How to match bit rate of original file for game?
It took me a lot of negotiating with Leland to get the 32-bit float WAV included in the top-level menu - and I would be extremely loath to lose it from there :( I appreciate your point waxcylinder, but I don't think that we have 32-bit float WAV, and u-law WAV, and A-law WAV, and 24-bit WAV (the de...
