You have not answered this: Did you build the correct version of widgets for which you are compiling Audacity? I don't know if you batch built wxWidgets but to keep it simple to begin with, I suggest you compile the Release version of Audacity. That requires you compile the "DLL Release" v...

Have you tried creating an aggregate device combining the external mic and the Soundflower (2 ch) device? That should work as long as you set the computer output device to Soundflower, but it may not completely solve the problem of the sources drifting apart.

So is the problem that the length of the audio is correct, but is only a flat line? I suggest you update to Audacity 2.1.1 as Koz suggested, then open the AUP file again. Attach the AUP file here.
