Re: No Audio during recording

Nowhere have you said what Audacity's Playback Device is set to. Try setting it to pulse, with the pulse playback device set in pavucontrol to whatever audio output your speakers or headphones are connected to. Assuming you can then hear what you have already recorded when you press Play in Audacit...

Re: Recorded audio sounds slow

I'd Like to thank gbell12 for the workaround, it's certainly cured my frustrations, this happened every time I recorded anything be it a radio stream, voice recording, or a file on my hdd. Everything was recording at around 10% quicker resulting in around a 10% slower playback, I even resorted to r...

Yes, that looks OK. With that bitone2 (2) row still selected in blue, click the "Enable" button then click OK.

Then look for the plugin in the Generate Menu.

Re: Is WASAPI limited to 44000Hz?

On thinking about what I am trying to achieve, it is simply recording my vinyl and converting it to 96000Hz / 24 bit wav files on my computer without resorting to so called up-sampling. I have my project rate set to 96000hz and do use the default 32 bit floating sample rate. 32-bit float, 24-bit an...

Re: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan & Audacity not working

Ok I copied and pasted that file into the audacity one but went to manage and its still not there. Its like everything else is there except that. You have to paste into the "plug-ins" folder that is in the folder you run Audacity 2.1.1 from. You could try restarting Audacity, then open Ef...

Audacity is free software developed and supported by a small number of volunteers spread around the world. There is no central office or telephone number and so no telephone support. ;)

Re: Audacity very slow with managing larger files?

Yes there are certain aspects of Audacity that are still slow with large files. Zooming and fitting is one of them. I don't have any problem with a 2 hour file in using the horizontal scrolbar on Windows 10 when zoomed in (2.4 GHz, 6 GB RAM). I can drag the scrollbar handle or click or click and hol...

Re: Odd window behavior

Hi tubegeek, Just a reminder for others that Audacity does not support Beta OS'es. They are only for testing. Are you saying you see that white rectangle only after using COMMAND + W, or is that white rectangle the remains of some dialogue that was once open? On 10.11 (the released El Capitan) Audac...
