Re: Background roar
All I did to this particular song was change key by two semi-tones, nothing else. The other 3 songs that experienced background roar also were key changes and nothing else. I repeated the few necessary editing steps and the noise went away in 3 of the songs, but not in the fourth. In what applicati...

Re: Automatically Creates 2nd track
Windows 7 starter, Audacity 2.1.1 We are recording church sermons from our soundboard via a Behringer 202 audio interface. After about 35 minutes of recording, Audacity, automatically creates a second track and starts recording on that second track. Is there a setting I'm missing? Audacity supplied...

Re: Click & pop hunting tips needed
I quickly got frustrated with the Spectrogram view. Because yes, it shows the area that needs to be repaired, but there is no way of facilitating that repair in waveform view. My primary question: Is there a tool for painting or brushing in spectrogram view. Or do all repairs have to be made in wav...

Re: Small mouse pointer on Windows 10
The problem shouldn't be one of dpi, because the pointer is normal size in all the other apps I use and anywhere outside a track. And it isn't specific to one of the pointers over another. The beam, the magnifier, the slider -- all of them are small inside a track. Yes but Audacity is not fully DPI...

Re: Windows 10 issue - Internal PortAudio error
the version 2.1.1 really works on windows 10 I also had the exact same problem with the Internal PortAudio error and the device list dissapeared! The way I did and was experimenting was to change all the Sample Rate in all devices on windows and the audio interface to 44100 I had them at 48000 and ...

Re: Need to create specific SNR for Hearing Research Project
How reliable do you think the SPL meter measurements are, if they are of Audacity playing the tracks? Are all the factors in the experiment controlled - same voice, same babble, same computer speakers, same room, same distance of the meter from the speakers, and so on? If you can say in Audacity tha...

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position
... what do we do when the currently selected cursor position is not on scren anyway and we are zooming elsewhere (without moving the cursor)? There are three possibilities that come to mind that I think would be acceptable (so any of these would be better than now, but I prefer the third option): ...

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position
I've noted these two requests, but Zoom Normal could not leave the cursor horizontally where it was for example if you were zoomed in at less than 8 or 10 seconds into the track, unless we were to scroll the track to show white space before zero. Even enabling the Tracks Preference "Enable scr...
