Re: Solution For Windows 10 Internal Port or No Devices Erro
Thank you for detailing your experience, ma5carena5. Just a reminder to others that a full article about Windows 10 has been on Audacity Wiki since the end of August. That article also explains the procedure to hide unwanted driver updates and so prevent them installing automatically. http://wiki.au...

Re: how to create static build with audacity 1.2.6?
There is no technical support for Audacity 1.2.6 any longer. It is long obsolete. ;) For what purpose do you want to run 1.2.6? There may be a better solution than trying to force a native Linux Audacity 1.2.6 to run on modern Ubuntu. Why not just run 1.2.6 in the Dapper virtual machine? If you must...

Re: recording not in stereo
im using audacity 2.1.1 dowmloaded via exe. sound card Conexant Smart Audio and windows 8.1 USB turntables in Windows Vista and later usually default to mono recording when first connected. So, assuming this Numark is a USB turntable, as Steve said, you need to set the Numark device to stereo recor...

Re: audacity-2.1.0 fails to compile
I downloaded the source files from github, as you suggested and compiled those. I get errors from FFmpeg.h as follows: In file included from AudacityApp.cpp:73:0: FFmpeg.h: In function ‘AVOutputFormat* av_oformat_next(AVOutputFormat*)’: FFmpeg.h:692:25: error: conflicting declaration of C function ...

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position
... what do we do when the currently selected cursor position is not on scren anyway and we are zooming elsewhere (without moving the cursor)? There are three possibilities that come to mind that I think would be acceptable (so any of these would be better than now, but I prefer the third option): ...

Re: audacity-2.1.0 fails to compile
Okay, so I installed wxWidgets-3.0.2 with no problems. I then compiled audacity-2.1.1 and got this: If you don't need a specific version of Audacity for a particular reason, I suggest you build Audacity HEAD (2.1.2-alpha) which is almost ready for release as Audacity 2.1.2 and believed quite stable...

Re: audacity-2.1.0 fails to compile
Audacity 2.1.1 requires WxWidgets 3. As Steve knows, the standard recommendation is to build 2.1.1 with wx2.8.12. Building 2.1.1 release with wx3 is not supported and will create many interface problems. The developers have been working to fix our most serious wx3 issues, so the next 2.1.2 release ...

Re: Workflow for noise reduction of mov/dv file
MOV files should be writable by AVIdemux if you set "MP4 Muxer" for "Output Format".

Re: ? on website
I am doing a project and need to know when the audacity website (http://audacityteam.org/) was last updated. Could someone provide me with this information? https://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/detail?r=14010 - assuming no-one has made an untracked change since then. I see that the developers ...

Re: Small mouse pointer on Windows 10
So, what is the screen resolution, and opening the Settings app, click System then Display, where the slider says "Change the size of text, apps and other items", what is the DPI? I've had it at 150% and now it's at 250%. In both cases the pointers were miniscule. When I had it at 150%, t...
