Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position

Currently if the cursor or selection is off-screen, zoom in/out causes the time position that was centred in the view to drift sideways. It looks to me that when the cursor is off-screen, zoom is centred on the middle of the waveform area of the track. Can't understand why you see that. It does the...

Re: Metadata

I am using Audacity 2.1.0 on Windows 10. I am having a problem with The Metadata. When I export a song as m4a or mp3 and save it, The metadata editor pops up. I fill in the desired fields and click on "OK". When I view the folder I saved the song in, I notice that the "Contributing a...

Re: Installing/Upgrading Audacity

ver 2.1.0 (according to the Audacity site) You must be looking at some other site. And I bet that other site is http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ . SourceForge used to host the Audacity site but then they pulled the hosting without warning, leaving us to move hosting to audacityteam.org. Gale

Re: Original (mp3) audio sampling rate

Well, the location to display the actual bitrate, aawd say in the track control panel. Rite under the track name, together with the recordin information (channels, sample rate and bitdepth) That is the most obvious place - but what happens when you import two songs with different properties then st...

Re: Audacity and OS X 10:11 and Safari 9.0

What I would suggest to try to avoid issues is to open the /Applications/Soundflower/ folder, double-click "Uninstall Soundflower.scpt" then in the window that opens, press the "Run" button. If you see "Done!" in the results, the script completed OK. Reboot the compute...

Re: Finally found libmp3lame.dylib

There are sites online you can check to see if a page is really down for everyone, or if there is some problem just for you. For example http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/.

Re: ReplayGain

I saved it, but it says windows cant open it. I'm using Firefox. Don't open it. Right-click over the saved ReplayGain.ny and choose "Copy". Go to where you installed Audacity, then open the "Plug-Ins" folder. Hold CTRL on your computer keyboard and press V. This pastes ReplayGai...

Re: I can't record voice along with track using built-in mic

Unless the built-in mic on the Mac Book Pro is locked out when there is playback, why wouldn't the built-in mic record the voice (or record playback and voice if the user was not wearing headphones)? However for that reason you should wear headphones. ;) Try a simple voice recording with no other tr...

Re: Question about splitting single Track MP3

What if one voice is a woman and the other a man? Can I remove higher frequencies? I couldn't work out how to specify these That could still end up merely muffling one voice more than the other. Analyze > Plot Spectrum... shows you frequency against loudness for a selection, so you could see the pl...

Re: Help! Need to recover a file

I'm a journalism student and I just conducted a really important 45 minute phone interview and recorded it on speaker through audacity. Just as I clicked 'save as', the program froze. It says not responding. I haven't closed the program yet because I'm too scared I'll lose everything. Audacity has ...
