Re: GSnap crash problem
I have almost the same problem. Using Windows8, fresh install of Audacity 2.1.0, vst-bridge 1.1 and Gsnap 1.2.4.4. Thanks for the details. However Audacity 2.x.x versions do not need the vst-bridge. I suggest you delete that DLL file. Without changing any configuration, I recorded a small (stereo) ...

Re: Audacity problem : recover data
It finally seems that -indeed- temporary files left were in chronological order. So we opened our 2h40 file with many empty periods, and started to fill them with files from all our folders, sorted by "last modification". If you can get the AU files renamed while they are in timestamp ord...

Re: Fedup-upgraded Fedora 21 and distorted audio [SOLVED]
Now that the culprit indeed seems to be my USB headphones I was considering opening a new thread asking why my USB headphones don't work well with Audacity. However, I'll do what you suggested and see if Fedora forums can give me a clue. For the benefit of those reading this thread I'll mention tha...

Re: Recording Streaming Radio
I have updated to El Capitan and also updated Audacity. Have selected Soundflower 2ch in both input & output of the sound preferences, but the internal microphone also records when I use Audacity. How do I turn off the internal microphone? What version of Audacity do you have? Please see the pi...

Re: Error Importing
Unfortunately as you can see if you open the AUP file, it only contains "nulls" and will appear empty if opened in Notepad. It can't be used for opening the project. Was there a crash when you saved the project, or did you sleep, hibernate or turn off the computer before the project finish...

Re: Exporting multiple
What do you mean by the first track would not stop exporting? I would guess that it would complete exporting if you let it do so, but that track would be much longer than you expect. I think you have run into http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1199 . Can you try muting the offset track...

Re: Audacity and OS X 10:11 and Safari 9.0
I just want to be able to make Audacity files of whatever I can hear coming through my in-built speakers - but which sound identical to the original sound when I play the file back. The Audacity files I used to be able to create did sound identical to the sound as it had originally sounded when com...

Re: MP3 Files won't play in Audacity
Please advise if you have tried the things I suggested when you wrote to our feedback address: Have you experimented thoroughly with Audio to buffer: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_playback.html#mac_buffer ? Or tried deleting the audacity.cfg settings file then changing Audio to buffer if ...

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position
...then there would be a further zoom level to worry about We should be reusing the same zoom in/out code in each case, which will give us consistent behaviour whatever new zoom levels are added. Generally yes, but when the zoom in/out code itself behaves inconsistently it would seem that we must a...
