Re: Audacity + Blue Yeti -> Weird Click Sound. Your Opinion?
What CPU use do you see when recording? CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open Task Manager - on Windows 10, click "More details" in Task Manager if necessary. I don't see any clear indications of dropouts in your sample, but there are obvious spikes in the waveform which cause clicks and many quite a...

Re: Audacity + Blue Yeti -> Weird Click Sound. Your Opinion?
Hello, when recording voice-overs in Audacity 2.1.0 with Blue Yeti mic, i get strange click sounds – a little like a tiny drop into water, about every 20 seconds (though not regularly); not very obtrusive, but noticeable to attentive listeners. The sound is not external, it is “digitally generated”....

@ henrik2000, can you please post a sample of the click sounds? Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936.

Re: Audacity + Blue Yeti -> Weird Click Sound. Your Opinion?
You noticed that as you went to busier and busier operating systems, the problem got worse. That points to a computer either too busy doing other things, or just flat underpowered. I must correct that. Windows 8 and Windows 10 are much lighter operating systems than Windows Vista and 7, assuming no...

Re: Recording of computer playback drops away to nothing
My apologies if this is the wrong section. It was in the wrong section. You posted at the end of a topic that was about increasing the perceived volume of accurately recorded audio. Your issue is (apparently) about recording accurately in the first place. Please always start a new topic unless your...

Re: Voice Effect from Stan?
Yeah I don't have Classic Filters :( I am running Audacity 2.1.0. Do I need to install a plugin or something? 2.1.0 does not include Classic Filters. In my opinion you could use High Pass and Low Pass instead. If you want to use Classic Filters you must update to 2.1.1 from http://audacityteam.org/...

Re: Having trouble importing TrueHD audio
So, got 2.2 all set up, and when converting via ffmpeg, it says: [abuffer @ 0x7ff992f032e0] Unable to parse option value "(null)" as sample format Last message repeated 1 times [abuffer @ 0x7ff992f032e0] Error setting option sample_fmt to value (null). [graph 0 input from stream 0:1 @ 0x7...

Re: Having trouble importing TrueHD audio
Was just wondering if maybe it's a bug, or, if perhaps the issue is just an older ffmpeg used in Audacity. If you install standalone 2.2.x FFmpeg and it can convert the troublesome file, then presumably it's an Audacity bug. Please let us know. Or you could try the standalone FFmpeg 2.3 from the bo...

Re: Having trouble importing TrueHD audio
So does standalone FFmpeg 2.8 convert the file to 7.1 FLAC? That would be the best approach, or use some other app to do that.

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 crashes on Yosemite OS X 10.10.5
Also if Audacity does quit (the Audacity window disappears) please have a look at /Applications/Utilities/Console.app and attach the latest Audacity Crash Report. Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936 . If it's a quit, it may help to re...
