Is that not agreed? Keep the current time position centred when possible?

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position

2) When transport is active: Play, Record, Pause or Scrub In this case Zoom In, Zoom Out and Zoom Normal all work to keep the playhead on the screen - which I think is proper desired behaviour. Yes. Zooming while playback is active does not appear to be a problem. In all cases zoom will scroll as r...

Re: Zoom Normal (Cmd+2) cursor position

do we agree that the "Zoom Normal" command should zoom to the default "zoom level" not scroll back to the start. Yes and if the cursor/selection is not centered on the display, but visible, then center it since Zoom In/Out do that anyway. Zoom Normal does zoom to the default zoo...

Re: pas de son

You can download videos from YouTube or save their audio using Firefox extensions. Make sure you have copyright holders' permission to download or record. You could install Pavucontrol (PulseAudio volume control) from the Ubuntu Software Centre. It may help fix problems with no audio in your web bro...

Re: Missing (lost?) files

I'm afraid I know the answer to this, but ... I'm missing some files I worked on before installing the latest version of Audacity. Is there any possibility the two are connected? Is there any way to locate the missing files? I'm using mac OS 10.6.8 and now have Audacity 2.1.1 If you still need help...

Re: Limitations via effects

Yes input is now validated for consistency so you cannot enter values outside a slider value. The next 2.1.2 release of Audacity will let Nyquist plugins (where appropriate) use a text box without slider that does not have any practical range limit. However Tremolo itself will not be changed for 2.1...

Re: Select Recording Channels

Why is Audacity continually prompting me to select recording channels? I have set this in the toolbar and in the preferences, yet any time I export a file the prompt appears. Audacity 2.1.1 and Win10 Export is not recording. Are you referring to a warning about mixing down to stereo? You should tak...

Re: Allow Chains to continue after failure

I cannot use Chains in the most current version of Audacity because some plug-ins "fail" (and thus cause the complete process to abort) even though they are not really failing. Imagine running Click Repair as part of a chain; currently (2.1), if no clicks are repaired the effect returns &...

Re: Splitting tracks separated by "silence delimiters"

How can I shorten or lengthen the time of "silence" between the pieces of music so that it is the same length of time between each one? I'm thinking 5 seconds between the pieces of music as a standard for my project. It would be unusual, but if you actually wanted to hear not silence but ...
