Exporting to a compressed format wouldn't help if you were "just over" the 0 dB limit before you exported.

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Thanks but there is not much point posting a curve with a generic name and no other indication what it should be used for.zap_zap_1 wrote:
Is it supposed to be a curve for a specific genre of music?

Re: Exporting to MP3 with Lame taking 14+ hours
If RAM is the problem, which I am not convinced is the issue, then as Koz said, exiting Chrome will help a lot. So you have a USB keyboard with a built-in hard drive? Are you sure you are exporting to that drive? Can you export somewhere else? You can export as MP3 using FFmpeg, but I doubt it will ...

Re: Exporting to MP3 with Lame taking 14+ hours
Google 'wav to mp3' and choose one. Better still, Google 'right click mp3'. Less than 500Kb and all you do is right click on the wav and press a key to start it. It's the only one I use. It says in BrotherSoft that it's Windows 98 and NT but my XP handles it. As far as I can tell, "RightClickM...

Re: Mic volume slider not working
Presumably the "9" in 2.0.9 was a typo. We have never made a 2.0.9 version.Robert42 wrote:Audacity 2.0.9 Linux Mint 17.2 64bit

Re: Static on export .AIFF file - Audacity 2.1.1
I uploaded two MP3 files to Audacity 2.1.1, edited and connected them (at the 49sec point) to one file. Audio sounds perfect when played in Audacity, but once exported to a .AIFF-C audio file, static starts at 1min50sec . Audio file length 25min30sec. Audacity does not export as compressed AIFF unl...

Re: Audacity doesn't play
I'm able to get my previous recordings into Audacity ~ mp3's If those are saved from Audition, it is a mistake to save them as MP3 if you want to edit them in Audacity, because MP3 is a lossy format. Every time you resave an MP3 you lose more quality. Save your Audition or other recordings as WAV w...

Re: Audacity doesn't start.....
What Doug means is that Audacity as shipped does not support ASIO, due to licensing reasons. It is possible to compile Audacity with ASIO support, but you must not give that build to anyone else.DVDdoug wrote:Audacity does not support ASIO.

Re: Numeric text input widget for Nyquist plug-ins
What needs to be done in those cases where the plug-in designer was expecting values beyond the normal range to be available, is for the plug-ins to be updated so that the full, safe operating range is available to users. And presumably that may mean not using a slider control, because it would be ...

Re: Select Recording Channels
Thank you. It would have saved time if you had explained in the first place what you were doing. ;) Would you be willing to share your script when you have it fully polished? Some might find it useful. I would guess then you saw this: select_recording_channels.png By default that dialogue appears wh...
