Re: 192 Bit Rate
We would have appreciated the information from the pink panel at the top of the page. In recent versions of Audacity (2.1.1 or earlier), assuming you want MP3 export, choose "MP3 Files" when you export, then click the "Options..." button. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/mp3_...

Re: Basic: how do I create a project?
"Save Project As..." if you are starting from a clean project window with no changes made yet: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fi ... ml#save_as.
There is no absolute compulsion to save a project: Managing Audacity Projects - Audacity Manual.

Re: monitor/recording freezes immediately
I encountered precisely this issue with my Asus laptop running Windows 8.1 with 2 USB 3.0 ports and no USB 2.0 ones. It appears the Linestreamer had an issue with running under this config. I went into the BIOS settings and under the Advanced tab, there is the XHCI Pre-Boot mode setting. I set this...

Re: Windows 10 error opening device or Internal PortAudio er
Thanks, HedAurabesh. "Standardformat" in the Realtek control panel should be the same as the "Default Format" (in English) setting in Windows Sound . So, did you see "Internal PortAudio error" or only "Error opening sound device" in Audacity? And what was &quo...

Re: Chain sounds different than manual editing
I think we will continue to give you blank looks. There must be something you are not telling us about this project. You pressed Solo on this second track, right? You are sure the effects in the Chain are really the same as those you do manually? Perhaps you should reinstall 2.1.1 from http://audaci...

Re: Audacity crashes WHILE saving project.
I clicked continue, You'll be surprised. It's at the exact state it was when I SAVED IT right when it crashed WHILE SAVING IT.. Wow. :O I'm glad the AUP.BAK file seemed to be as the project was when you were saving it :D Yes I am a bit surprised given the AUTOSAVE file was still there (for a time)....

Re: Sample Tank 3 Plugin?
Then the only way you could record with Audacity would probably be to use a real-time VST host like http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm then set Audacity to record from the host's output.

Re: Recording What is Coming Out of the USB Speakers
I wandered around the BOSE site and found this: https://www.bose.com/products/speakers/stereo_speakers/companion-5-multimedia-speaker-system.html It seems that this is common for the Bose Companion 5 speakers. The person posting said it relates to using generic Microsoft driver. The workaround is t...

Re: Chain sounds different than manual editing
Do you press Solo on the second track when you judge that?Krytos wrote:I copied the first track (unedited) then I apply the affects manually to the first track and via chain to the second. First sounds good, second doesn't. That's it. No variables that might have changed.
