No promises, but Include a sample that has clicks and your voice.

Re: Orphan Block Files / Restore Previous Version
So I am guessing you saw no Automatic Crash Recovery dialogue, like this: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/m/images/c/c4/crashrecovery.png ? And you initiated the save of the compressed copy of the project to the same name as the original AUP file? If so, Audacity should not let you do that, because...

Re: Trouble recovering data
Alrighty, I attached the file to this message. My Audacity version is 2.0.6 OK the AUTOSAVE file looks OK, but you did not attach the log file (Help > Show Log...). If you open Finder, use Go > Go to Folder and type /var/folders/9z/hrkr_dhn1474sm2vm2mdhp6m0000gn/T/audacity-david/ is there a "p...

Did you use Edit > Find Zero Crossings where you made the split or selection, Gene? Split Lines have always seemed to create energy differences in the spectrogram which I am not sure they should. Here is a spectrogram showing a split line created with CTRL + I at a zero crossing: split_line.png And ...

Re: Whenever I open a file all I get is a flat line.
I will not risk trying to upgrade to 2.1.1 again, as 2.0.6. provides for all my needs. There should be no risk. What happened is that you had Audacity's "Directories" Preferences for the location of the Audacity temporary folder set to some location you could not write to, or which had no...

Re: Won't PLAY or RECORD
It will just confuse Forum helpers and waste time to start a new topic for the same question, so I merged your new topic back into this one. Iwhenever I click on RECORD or PLAY, the program does not respond. I can hear my voice via my earphones so I know my interface is connected and working. Sugges...

Re: Recording What is Coming Out of the USB Speakers
1) 3.5mm plugged into the PC's output >> 2) 3.5mm other end goes to INPUT of Bose's Volume control plug. Pretty simple. Doing this, I hear the speakers just like it was a USB, only now, it works via 3.5mm plug. Audacity works just like it always did but set at WASPI Loopback + HP (IDT High Definiti...

Re: Chain sounds different than manual editing
I get a problem where a plugin works in stereo by itself but makes the stereo track into doubled mono in a chain. Which plugin is that? Try a plugin chained. Googling chainer vst will show more than one. If that made a difference, and gave the same result as running the effects manually one after t...
