Re: Missing lib files when compiling audacity 1.2.6

Audacity 1.2.6 is no longer supported as of several years ago. It requires the long obsolete Visual Studio 2003 which you will only be able to run on an obsolete version of Windows. The current Audacity release is 2.1.1 http://audacityteam.org/download/source . If you would like help compiling 2.1.1...

Re: Can't record properly with AT2020 USB Mic

Triple-check in Audacity's Device Toolbar and make sure you are actually selecting the AT2020 as Recording Device.

Has this problem only just happened? Try a different USB port. Try a different USB cable. Try a different computer, if you have one.

Re: Both input/ouput of Skype call picked up by Audacity

My reason for not recording with something directly from Skype is I want Stereo, not mono. If that headset mic is stereo, make sure you are selecting 2 (stereo) recording channels in Audacity's Device Toolbar . If you want stereo effects on your voice, you can add some reverb in post-production, or...

Re: re-recording a small section in a track

Re: Both input/ouput of Skype call picked up by Audacity

I'm actually looking to record just my audio, not the other person. As I already acknowledged. And we are still saying, don't use Audacity for this. Skype greatly manipulates audio input and output to perform as a VoIP client. As I said, record your own voice to one channel of a stereo WAV using an...

Re: Can't record properly with AT2020 USB Mic

Which version of Audacity? See the pink panel at the top of the page.

How close are you to the mic? Tap it gently. What happens?

Do you have the recording volume turned up in Mixer Toolbar?
