Re: Waveform disappeared! Please help :(
Assuming that the project had not been saved at any point: With the project open in Audacity, go to "Edit > Preferences > Directories" to find the directory for Audacity's Temp folder. Now find that folder - it's usually inside a hidden folder, so you will need to enable viewing hidden fo...

Re: Windows 7 - Audacity - No Infrasound EQ
For some reason my "No Infrasound" post is off limits at the moment ... http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=234980#p234980 It was in a group of topics that were (if I recall) in a now closed board called "The Lounge" which became a rag tag place where most toipics real...

backtrace (printout in the terminal, not sure that's what you mean): I mean a proper backtrace from GDB . Open a terminal and change directory to where the audacity binary is located. $ gdb audacity Then set logging on so gdb output is written to gdb.txt: (gdb) set logging on Then launch Audacity: ...

The project was already saved before putting it to sleep or bluescreening, and i tried recovery tool before, and the TEMP is empty. I will try the rename thing later, pretty busy right now but will tell you :) The "1.2" recovery tool mentioned on http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recov...

For questions about how to use OBS, please ask here https://obsproject.com/forum/ . If you quit Audacity, I imagine OBS should not be able to launch Audacity of its own accord. If this doesn't help, please explain exactly what you are trying to do. Also tell us your exact version of Audacity and Win...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 crashing with 2015 MacBook & OS X 10.11.1
I deleted Audacity 2.1.0 (the latest version on Source Forge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/) Thanks, Bruce. Yes I guessed that was the problem. SourceForge stopped hosting the Audacity web site without warning a while ago and also limited our ability to edit or add to the files we have ...

Re: plugins problems
Thanks for the good information. I suggest you download the Audacity 2.1.1 zip file from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Don't launch Audacity yet. In Explorer, type %appdata% press ENTER on your computer keyboard then open the "Audacity" folder. In that folder, delete the file ...

Re: Aup wont load data (no, putting both togheter won't work
Did you put the computer to sleep before Audacity had finished saving the project? Audacity would have been moving up to 2.4 GB of AU files from its temporary folder to the project's _data folder. That takes time, and you must wait until the progress dialogue for saving the project completes. It see...

Re: re-recording a small section in a track
The only advantage of those coarse steps is if you are really averse to having more than one track.
Some people much prefer to stick to one track.
