Re: Audacity recording playback flatlines?
If you need to close Audacity, force quit it in Task Manager then the recorded data should not get discarded or overwritten with silence while you are investigating. Look in Help > Show Log... for what is happening. You can attach the log: Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audaci...

Re: Serious problems with filters (notch) and Nyquist plugin
What happens to the Nyquist plugins with "Language for non-Unicode programs" set to English as here:

but with "Format" (first tab of "Region") set back to Russian?

Re: Record system sounds and mic
For recording, the Voicemeeter Virtual output (Recording device) will deliver 8 channels only on WIN XP (after Vista, there is a limitation on recording device for stereo only - apparently) so to record 5.1 audio, you have 2 possibilities: - To use the integrated Recorder in Voicemeeter Banana Vers...

Re: Precompiled Scripting Build for Windows?
There is not a "scripting build" of Audacity, rather there is no pre-compiled mod-script-pipe.dll which is matched with a particular build made with the same AUDACITY_VERSION_STRING. So, you have to build Audacity and mod-script-pipe.dll yourself at the same time (as the Manual already say...

Re: iTunes won't open saved files
I'm recording my Lp's. recording looks alright, and the resulting files seems fine, until I try to open on Apple (OSX 10.11.x), nothing happens. I've tried AIFF, MP3, M4A. What do I do wrong? Exactly how (steps 1, 2, 3) do you open the Audacity-exported files in iTunes? What happens when you try Fi...

Re: Recording Help using a Tascam US-2x Audio Interface
Still not working. There isn't another option for recording, other than: Conexant smart Audio Speakers. When I chose that option, the recording freezes at zero and it says: Latency correction has cause the recording audio to be hidden before zero." Doug meant another Tascam US2 recording devic...
Re: Latency
Well, the strange thing is, I can record sound from the click track or the Internet when WASAPI is enabled but I have to turn it back to MME to record myself and my instruments! Is that the same as: I think my laptop has Vista but it still has MME and will not record me if I use (bear with me I mig...

Re: Audacity 2.1.1 VST plugins do not enable
So I'm having a problem with effects. I've downloaded the VST bridge for Audacity but when I try to enable anything it says that it's enable and then doesn't. I click okay and then when I open the manager again it's just written down as new. VST-bridge is not needed for 2.1.1 to enable VST effects....
